Abhimātiṣāh (अभिमातिषाह्):—[tatpurusha compound] m. (-ṣāṭ) (ved.) A conqueror of the enemies or of the wicked; e. g. Ṛgv.: tvadvipro jāyate… abhimātiṣāhaḥ (Sāyaṇa: = śatrūṇāmabhibhavitāraḥ); or Ṛgv. or Vājas.: saṃ te payāṃsi samu yantu…abhimātiṣāhaḥ (Sāyaṇa: = śatrūṇāṃ hantuḥ; Mahīdh.: abhimātiṃ pāpmānaṃ sahate bhibhavatītyabhimātiṣāṭ); or Ṛgv.: suvīrāso abhimātiṣāhaḥ &c.
