The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 12.116

ततो भुजङ्गप्रवरेण संस्तुतस्तृणान्युपादाय शुचीनि लावकात् ।
कृतप्रतिज्ञो निषसाद बोधये महातरोर्मूलमुपाश्रितः शुचेः ॥ ११६ ॥

tato bhujaṅgapravareṇa saṃstutastṛṇānyupādāya śucīni lāvakāt |
kṛtapratijño niṣasāda bodhaye mahātarormūlamupāśritaḥ śuceḥ || 116 ||

Being thus praised by the best of serpents, and having taken some pure grass from a grasscutter, he, having made his resolution, sat down to obtain perfect knowledge at the foot of the great holy tree.
