The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 11.27

यत्र स्थितानामभितो विपत्तिः शत्रोः सकाशादपि बान्धवेभ्यः ।
हिंस्रेषु तेष्वायतनोपमेषु कामेषु कस्यात्मवतो रतिः स्यात् ॥ २७ ॥

yatra sthitānāmabhito vipattiḥ śatroḥ sakāśādapi bāndhavebhyaḥ |
hiṃsreṣu teṣvāyatanopameṣu kāmeṣu kasyātmavato ratiḥ syāt || 27 ||

'What man of self-control could find satisfaction in these pleasures, which, like the senses, are destructive, and which bring calamity on every hand to those who abide in them, from the side of friends even more than from open enemies?
