The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 10.24

गात्रं हि ते लोहितचन्दनार्हं काषायसंश्लेषमनर्हमेतत् ।
हस्तः प्रजापालनयोग्य एष भोक्तुं न चार्हः परदत्तमन्नम् ॥ २४ ॥

gātraṃ hi te lohitacandanārhaṃ kāṣāyasaṃśleṣamanarhametat |
hastaḥ prajāpālanayogya eṣa bhoktuṃ na cārhaḥ paradattamannam || 24 ||

'Thy limbs are worthy of red sandal-wood perfumes,—they do not deserve the rough contact of red cloth; this hand is fit to protect subjects, it deserves not to hold food given by another.
