The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 9.13

त्वच्छोकशल्ये हृदयावगाढे मोहं गतो भूमितले मुहूर्तम् ।
कुमार राजा नयनाम्बुवर्षो यत्त्वामवोचत्तदिदं निबोध ॥ १३ ॥

tvacchokaśalye hṛdayāvagāḍhe mohaṃ gato bhūmitale muhūrtam |
kumāra rājā nayanāmbuvarṣo yattvāmavocattadidaṃ nibodha || 13 ||

'O prince, consider for a moment what the king with his eyes raining tears said to thee, as he lay fainting on the ground with the arrow of thy sorrow plunged into his heart.
