The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 8.64

ध्रुवं स जानन् मम धर्मवल्लभो मनः प्रिये ऽप्याकलहं मुहुर्मिथः ।
सुखं विभीर्मामपहाय रोसणां महेन्द्रलोके ऽप्सरसो जिघृक्षति ॥ ६४ ॥

dhruvaṃ sa jānan mama dharmavallabho manaḥ priye 'pyākalahaṃ muhurmithaḥ |
sukhaṃ vibhīrmāmapahāya rosaṇāṃ mahendraloke 'psaraso jighṛkṣati || 64 ||

'Surely it must be that this fond lover of religion, knowing that my mind was secretly quarrelling even with my beloved, lightly and without fear has deserted me thus angry, in the hope to obtain heavenly nymphs in Indra's world!
