The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 7.45

ऋज्वात्मनां धर्मभृतां मुनीनामिष्टातिथित्वात्स्वजनोपमानम् ।
एवंविधैर्मां प्रति भावजातैः प्रीतिः परात्मा जनितश्च मार्गः ॥ ४५ ॥

ṛjvātmanāṃ dharmabhṛtāṃ munīnāmiṣṭātithitvātsvajanopamānam |
evaṃvidhairmāṃ prati bhāvajātaiḥ prītiḥ parātmā janitaśca mārgaḥ || 45 ||

'The upright-souled saints, the upholders of religion, become the very ideal of our own kindred through their delight in showing hospitality; by all these kind feelings of thine towards me affection is produced in me and the path which regards the self as supreme is revealed.
