The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 3.52

स्नेहाच्च भावं तनयस्य बुद्ध्वा संवेगदोषानविचिन्त्य कांश्चित् ।
योग्याः समाज्ञापयति स्म तत्र कलास्वभिज्ञ इति वारमुख्याः ॥ ५२ ॥

snehācca bhāvaṃ tanayasya buddhvā saṃvegadoṣānavicintya kāṃścit |
yogyāḥ samājñāpayati sma tatra kalāsvabhijña iti vāramukhyāḥ || 52 ||

And in his affection pondering on the condition of his son, never thinking of any ills that might come from his haste, he ordered the best singing-women to be in attendance, as well-skilled in all the soft arts that can please.
