The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 3.29

इत्येवमुक्तः स रथप्रणेता निवेदयामास नृपात्मजाय ।
संरक्ष्यमप्यर्थमदोषदर्शी तैरेव देवैः कृतबुद्धिमोहः ॥ २९ ॥

ityevamuktaḥ sa rathapraṇetā nivedayāmāsa nṛpātmajāya |
saṃrakṣyamapyarthamadoṣadarśī taireva devaiḥ kṛtabuddhimohaḥ || 29 ||

Thus addressed, the charioteer revealed to the king's son the secret that should have been kept so carefully, thinking no harm in his simplicity, for those same gods had bewildered his mind:
