The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 2.7

तथास्य मन्दानिलमेघशब्दः सौदामिनीकुण्डलमण्डिताङ्गः ।
विनाश्मवर्षाशनिपातदोषैः काले च देशे प्रववर्ष देवः ॥ ७ ॥

tathāsya mandānilameghaśabdaḥ saudāminīkuṇḍalamaṇḍitāṅgaḥ |
vināśmavarṣāśanipātadoṣaiḥ kāle ca deśe pravavarṣa devaḥ || 7 ||

Heaven rained in his kingdom in due time and place, with the sound of gentle winds and clouds, and adorned with wreaths of lightning, and without any drawback of showers of stones or thunderbolts.
