The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 1.70

अप्यक्षयं मे यशसो निधानं कच्चिद्ध्रुवो मे कुलहस्तसारः ।
अपि प्रयास्यामि सुखं परत्र सुप्ते ऽपि पुत्रे ऽनिमिषैकचक्षुः ॥ ७० ॥

apyakṣayaṃ me yaśaso nidhānaṃ kacciddhruvo me kulahastasāraḥ |
api prayāsyāmi sukhaṃ paratra supte 'pi putre 'nimiṣaikacakṣuḥ || 70 ||

'Tell me, is the hoard of my fame free from destruction? Is this chief prize of my family secure? Shall I ever depart happily to another life,—I who keep one eye ever awake, even when my son is asleep?
