The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 1.43

धर्मार्थिभिर्भूतगणैश्च दिव्यैस्तद्दर्शनार्थं बलमाप पूरः ।
कौतूहलेनैव च पादपैश्च प्रपूजयामास सगन्धपुष्पैः ॥ ४३ ॥

dharmārthibhirbhūtagaṇaiśca divyaistaddarśanārthaṃ balamāpa pūraḥ |
kautūhalenaiva ca pādapaiśca prapūjayāmāsa sagandhapuṣpaiḥ || 43 ||

Through the troops of heavenly visitants, who came seeking religious merit, the pool itself received strength to behold Buddha, and by means of its trees bearing flowers and perfumes it eagerly offered him worship.
