नन्वनेनानुमानेन बाध्यते सर्वहेतुषु ।
व्याप्तिः सर्वोपसंहारा प्रतिज्ञार्थस्य वा क्षतिः ॥ ४६१ ॥nanvanenānumānena bādhyate sarvahetuṣu |
vyāptiḥ sarvopasaṃhārā pratijñārthasya vā kṣatiḥ || 461 ||“The all-comprehensive invariable concomitance (premiss) that has been asserted in all the reasonings (propounded by the buddhist) becomes annulled by the following inference; or else, the proposition (asserting the doctrine in question) itself becomes rejected.”—(461)
