Chapter 25: The Chapter on Nirvana

When the Buddha arrived at the place of Nirvana (涅槃處 [nie pan chu]),
Vaisali (鞞舍離 [bing she li]) was empty and desolate,
like the darkness of a night cloud,
when the stars and moon lose their light.
The country was first peaceful and joyful,
but now it is suddenly withered,
like an orphan girl who has lost her kind father,
and is always sad and alone.
Like a person with a beautiful appearance but no knowledge,
intelligent but with little virtue,
eloquent in mind but with a stutter,
bright and wise but lacking in talent.
With supernatural powers but no majestic manners,
with a compassionate mind (慈悲心 [ci bei xin]) but being false,
high and superior but without strength,
with majestic manners but no Dharma (法 [fa]).
Vaisali (鞞舍離 [bing she li]) was also like this,
first glorious but now withered,
like autumn seedlings
that have lost water and are all dried up.
Some stopped their fires and extinguished their smoke,
some forgot to eat their food,
they all abandoned their public and private affairs,
and did not cultivate their worldly connections.
They remembered the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) deep kindness,
and were silently and speechless.
At that time, the Licchavi (離車 [li che]) Simha (師子 [shi zi]),
forced himself to endure his sorrow and grief,
and with tears flowing, he uttered a sorrowful sound,
to express his heart of attachment:
"He has destroyed all evil paths,
and revealed the right Dharma (正法 [zheng fa]).
He has already subdued all other schools (外道 [wai dao]),
and is now leaving, never to return.
The world has lost the transcendental path (離世道 [li shi dao]).
Impermanence (無常 [wu chang]) is a great disease.
The World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]) has entered the great quietude (大寂 [da ji]),
without a protector or a savior.
The most supreme and expedient one (方便最勝尊 [fang bian zui sheng zun])
has hidden his light and reached the ultimate place.
We have lost our strong will,
like a fire that has run out of fuel.
The World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]) has abandoned the world's shelter,
sentient beings are so pitiful.
Like a person who has lost divine power,
the whole world mourns him.
Fleeing from the heat, we went to a cool pond.
Suffering from the cold, we relied on a fire.
Now that both are suddenly empty,
where can sentient beings go?
He was able to fully understand the supreme Dharma (殊勝法 [shu sheng fa]),
and was the world's potter and teacher.
The world has lost its sovereign and leader.
When people die, the path also dies.
Old age, sickness, and death are free.
When the path dies, the non-path prevails.
Who in the world can be a match
for the one who can destroy the great machine of suffering?
The raging heat is extremely fierce,
but a great cloud rains to extinguish it.
The fire of greed is blazing,
who can extinguish it?
The firm and able bearer
has abandoned the heavy burden of the world.
What wisdom (智慧 [zhi hui]) and power can there be
to be an uninvited friend?
Like a prisoner facing execution,
who gets drunk for fear of death.
Sentient beings are confused in their consciousness,
and only receive birth for death.
A sharp saw is used to cut wood,
and impermanence cuts the world.
The darkness of ignorance is a deep water,
and the desires of love are giant waves.
Afflictions (煩惱 [fan nao]) are floating foam,
and evil views are giant fish.
Only the boat of wisdom (智慧船 [zhi hui chuan])
can cross this great sea.
All diseases are the flowers of the tree,
old age is the slender branch,
death is the deep root of the tree,
and karma is its sprout.
The sharp and strong knife of wisdom (智慧剛利刀 [zhi hui gang li dao])
can cut the tree of the three existences (三有樹 [san you shu]).
Ignorance (無明 [wu ming]) is the fire-drill,
greed (貪欲 [tan yu]) is the blazing flame,
the five desires are the firewood.
They are extinguished by the water of wisdom (智水 [zhi shui]).
With the supreme Dharma (殊勝法 [shu sheng fa]) complete,
the darkness of ignorance (癡冥 [chi ming]) is destroyed.
He saw the peaceful and righteous path,
and reached the end of all afflictions (煩惱 [fan nao]).
He transformed sentient beings with compassion (慈悲 [ci bei]),
treating enemies and friends without distinction.
He fully understood all knowledge,
but now he has abandoned it all.
The soft and beautiful pure sound,
the square body and the slender long arms,
the great sage (大仙 [da xian]) also has an end.
Who can be without end?
We should be aware that time passes quickly,
and we should diligently seek the right Dharma (正法 [zheng fa]).
Like a person on a dangerous path who encounters water,
he should drink it in time and quickly proceed on the road.
Impermanence (非常 [fei chang]) is very violent and rebellious,
it universally destroys without distinction between noble and humble.
If we maintain the right view in our minds,
even when we sleep, we are always awake."
At that time, the Licchavi (離車 [li che]) Simha (師子 [shi zi])
often remembered the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) wisdom (智慧 [zhi hui]),
and was disgusted with birth and death (生死 [sheng si]).
He praised and admired the Lion among men (人師子 [ren shi zi]).
He did not hold on to worldly love and affection,
but deeply respected the virtue of separation from desires (離欲德 [li yu de]).
He subdued his fickle and impulsive mind,
and settled his mind in a quiet place.
He diligently practiced giving (惠施 [hui shi]),
and stayed far from arrogance (憍慢 [jiao man]).
He delighted in living alone in seclusion,
and contemplated the true Dharma (真實法 [zhen shi fa]).
At that time, the all-knowing one (一切智 [yi qie zhi]),
with his round body and lion-like gaze,
looked at Vaisali (鞞舍離 [bing she li]),
and spoke a long farewell verse:
"This is my last time
traveling through Vaisali (鞞舍離 [bing she li]).
I am going to the birthplace of the Malla (力士 [li shi]),
and will enter Nirvana (涅槃 [nie pan]) there."
Gradually, he traveled,
and arrived at the city of Pava (蒲加城 [pu jia cheng]).
He stayed in the Sal Grove (堅固林 [jian gu lin]),
and instructed the bhikshus (比丘 [bi qiu]):
"I will enter Nirvana (涅槃 [nie pan])
in the middle of the night.
You should rely on the Dharma (法 [fa]),
this is the supreme place.
If it is not included in the Sutras (脩多羅 [xiu duo luo]),
and does not carefully follow the Vinaya (律儀 [lu yi]),
and is contrary to the true meaning,
then it should not be accepted.
If it is not the Dharma (法 [fa]) and not the Vinaya (律 [lu]),
and is also not what I have said,
this is an obscure statement,
and you should abandon it quickly.
Holding on to a clear statement
is not a perversion.
This is what I have said,
a teaching that is in accordance with the Dharma (法 [fa]) and the Vinaya (律 [lu]).
If you accept it as my Dharma (法 [fa]) and Vinaya (律 [lu]),
it is trustworthy.
If you say that my Dharma (法 [fa]) and Vinaya (律 [lu]) are not,
then it is not trustworthy.
Not understanding the subtle meaning,
and mistakenly following the words,
this is a foolish person (愚夫 [yu fu]),
who speaks the non-Dharma (非法 [fei fa]) with arrogance.
Not distinguishing the true from the false,
and accepting it blindly without seeing,
is like mixing brass with gold in the market,
deceiving the world.
A foolish person (愚夫 [yu fu]) who practices superficial wisdom,
does not understand the true meaning.
He accepts a similar Dharma (相似法 [xiang shi fa]),
and thinks it is the true Dharma (真法 [zhen fa]).
Therefore, you must be careful,
and observe the true Dharma (真法 [zhen fa]) and Vinaya (律 [lu]),
just like a goldsmith
burns and beats it to get the true gold.
Not knowing the Sutras and treatises,
is not wisdom.
You should not speak what should not be spoken,
and what should be done should not be seen.
You should receive it with impartiality,
and act according to the meaning of the phrases.
Holding a sword without expedient means,
will wound your hand in return.
If the phrases are not skillfully arranged,
the meaning is difficult to understand,
like walking at night to find a room,
the house is vast and you do not know where to go.
Losing the meaning, you forget the Dharma (法 [fa]),
and forgetting the Dharma (法 [fa]), your mind becomes scattered.
Therefore, a wise person (智慧士 [zhi hui shi])
will not go against the true meaning."
After speaking this instruction,
he arrived at the city of Pava (波婆城 [bo po cheng]).
The Malla (力士 [li shi]) assembly there
made all kinds of offerings.
At that time, there was a son of an elder,
whose name was Cunda (純陀 [chun tuo]).
He invited the Buddha to his house,
and prepared the last meal as an offering.
After the meal and the Dharma (法 [fa]) talk,
he went to the city of Kusinagara (鳩夷城 [jiu yi cheng]),
and crossed the Kukuttha River (蕨蕨河 [jue jue he])
and the Hiranyavati River (熙連二河 [xi lian er he]).
There was a Sal Grove (堅固林 [jian gu lin]) there,
a peaceful and secluded place.
He entered the Golden River (金河 [jin he]) to bathe,
his body was like a true golden mountain (真金山 [zhen jin shan]).
He instructed Ananda (阿難陀 [a nan tuo]):
"Between those twin trees (雙樹間 [shuang shu jian]),
sweep it clean,
and set up a rope bed.
I will enter Nirvana (涅槃 [nie pan])
in the middle of the night."
Ananda (阿難 [a nan]) heard the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) teaching,
his breath was choked and his heart was sad.
He went crying to follow the instruction,
and after arranging it, he returned to report.
The Tathagata (如來 [ru lai]) went to the rope bed,
lay on his right side with his head to the north,
with his hand as a pillow and his feet stacked,
like a lion king.
This was his last body of suffering,
one sleep, never to rise again.
The disciples surrounded him,
lamenting that the eye of the world was extinguished.
The wind stopped, the forest streams were quiet,
and the birds and beasts were silent.
The trees cried tears of sap,
and flowers and leaves fell out of season.
The gods (人天 [ren tian]) who were not yet free from desires
were all greatly panicked.
Like a person traveling in a wilderness,
the road is dangerous and he has not yet reached a village.
He is afraid that he will not make it,
and his heart is fearful and his body is hurried.
The Tathagata (如來 [ru lai]) was finally lying down,
and he told Ananda (阿難陀 [a nan tuo]):
"Go and tell the Mallas (力士 [li shi]),
that the time of my Nirvana (涅槃 [nie pan]) has come.
If they do not see me,
they will forever have great regret and suffering."
Ananda (阿難 [a nan]) received the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) teaching,
and wept sadly along the road.
He told the Mallas (力士 [li shi]):
"The World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]) is finally leaving."
The Mallas (力士 [li shi]) heard this,
and were extremely panicked.
The men and women rushed out,
crying and wailing to the Buddha's place.
With tattered clothes and disheveled hair,
their bodies covered in dust and sweat,
they cried and wailed as they went to the grove,
like the gods (天 [tian]) whose merits have run out.
They bowed at the Buddha's feet with tears flowing,
and their bodies were wilted with sorrow and grief.
The Tathagata (如來 [ru lai]) comforted them, saying:
"You should not be sorrowful.
Now is the time for you to rejoice,
not to be sorrowful.
What I have planned for long eons (長劫 [zhang jie])
I have now finally attained.
I have already crossed the realm of the roots (根境界 [gen jing jie]),
the endless and cool place.
I am free from earth, water, fire, and wind,
quiet and not subject to arising and ceasing.
I have forever eliminated worries and calamities.
Why do you worry for me?
In the past, on Mount Gaya (伽闍山 [jia du shan]),
I wanted to abandon this body,
but because of the original causes and conditions,
I have existed in the world until now.
Guarding this fragile body
is like living with a poisonous snake.
Now that I enter the great quietude (大寂 [da ji]),
the causes and conditions for all sufferings are over.
I will no longer receive a body,
and the future sufferings will cease forever.
You should no longer
be afraid for me."
The Mallas (力士 [li shi]) heard the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) words,
that he was entering the great quietude (大寂靜 [da ji jing]),
their minds were in chaos and their eyes were dark,
like seeing a great darkness.
They clasped their hands and said to the Buddha:
"The Buddha (佛 [fu]) is free from the suffering of birth and death (生死苦 [sheng si ku]),
and has attained the eternal joy of quietude (寂滅樂 [ji mie le]).
We are truly happy for you.
It is like a burning house,
and a parent comes out from the fire.
The gods (諸天 [zhu tian]) are still happy,
not to mention the people of the world?
After the Tathagata (如來 [ru lai]) is extinguished,
sentient beings have no one to see.
We will forever lose our protection.
That is why we are sorrowful.
It is like a group of merchants
traveling far in a wilderness.
There is only one guide,
who suddenly dies on the way.
The multitude has no one to rely on.
How can they not be sorrowful?
You have directly and personally attained knowledge in this life,
and see all knowledge.
But we do not obtain the benefit.
The whole world should be laughed at.
It is like passing a mountain of treasures,
but foolishly remaining in poverty and suffering."
Just like this, the Mallas (力士 [li shi])
complained sorrowfully to the Buddha (佛 [fu]),
like a single child
complaining sorrowfully to his kind father.
The Buddha used good and persuasive words,
to reveal the ultimate truth (第一義 [di yi yi]),
and told the Malla (力士 [li shi]) assembly:
"You are indeed right in what you say.
Seeking the path requires diligence.
It is not enough to just see me.
If you act according to what I have said,
you will be free from the net of all sufferings.
Practicing the path should be in your heart,
it is not necessary to see me.
It is like a sick person
who takes good medicine according to the prescription.
All his diseases will naturally be eliminated,
without having to see the doctor.
If you do not act according to what I have said,
seeing me is of no benefit.
Although you are far from me,
if you act according to the Dharma (法 [fa]), you are close to me.
If you live with me but do not follow the Dharma (法 [fa]),
you should know that you are far from me.
Concentrate your mind and do not be careless,
and diligently cultivate the right karma (正業 [zheng ye]).
When a person is born into the world,
he is oppressed by all sufferings throughout the long night.
He is disturbed and not at peace,
like a lamp in the wind."
At that time, the Malla (力士 [li shi]) assembly,
heard the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) compassionate teaching.
They felt it inside and held back their tears,
and forced themselves to restrain their feelings and returned.

[25] 佛所行讚涅槃品第二十五

佛至涅槃處,  鞞舍離空虛,
 猶如夜雲冥,  星月失光明.
 國土先安樂,  而今頓凋悴,
 猶如喪慈父,  孤女常獨悲.
 如端正無聞,  聰明而薄德,
 心辯而口吃,  明慧而乏才.
 神通無威儀,  慈悲心虛偽,
 高勝而無力,  威儀而無法.
 鞞舍離亦然,  素榮而今悴,
 猶如秋田苗,  失水悉枯萎.
 或斷火滅烟,  或對食忘飡,
 悉廢公私業,  不修諸俗緣.
 念佛感恩深,  默默各不言.
 時師子離車,  強忍其憂悲,
 垂泣發哀聲,  以表眷戀心:
“破壞諸邪徑,  顯示於正法,
 已降諸外道,  遂往不復還.
 世絕離世道,  無常為大病,
 世尊入大寂,  無依無有救.
 方便最勝尊,  潛光究竟處,
 我等失強志,  如火絕其薪.
 世尊捨世蔭,  群生甚可悲,
 如人失神力,  舉世共哀之.
 逃暑投涼池,  遭寒以憑火,
 一旦悉廓然,  群生何所歸?
 通達殊勝法,  為世陶鑄師,
 世間失宰正,  人喪道則亡,
 老病死自在,  道喪非道通.
 能壞大苦機,  世間何有雙?
 猛熱極焰盛,  大雲雨令消,
 貪欲火熾然,  其誰能令滅?
 堅固能擔者,  已捨世重任,
 復何智慧力,  能為不請友.
 如彼臨刑囚,  為死而醉酒,
 眾生迷惑識,  惟為死受生,
 利鋸以解材,  無常解世間.
 癡闇為深水,  愛欲為巨浪,
 煩惱為浮沫,  邪見摩竭魚,
 唯有智慧船,  能度斯大海.
 眾病為樹花,  衰老為纖條,
 死為樹深根,  有業為其芽,
 智慧剛利刀,  能斷三有樹.
 無明為鑽燧,  貪欲為熾焰,
 五欲境界薪,  滅之以智水,
 具足殊勝法,  已壞於癡冥.
 見安隱正路,  究竟諸煩惱,
 慈悲化眾生,  怨親無異相,
 一切智通達,  而今悉棄捨.
 軟美清淨音,  方身纖長臂,
 大仙而有邊,  何人得無窮?
 當覺時遷速,  應勤求正法,
 如嶮道遇水,  時飲速進路.
 非常甚暴逆,  普壞無貴賤,
 正觀存於心,  雖眠亦常覺.”
 時離車師子,  常念佛智慧,
 厭離於生死,  歎慕人師子.
 不存世恩愛,  深崇離欲德,
 折伏輕躁意,  栖心寂靜處.
 勤修行惠施,  遠離於憍慢,
 樂獨脩閑居,  思惟真實法.
 爾時一切智,  圓身師子顧,
 瞻彼鞞舍離,  而說長辭偈:
“是吾之最後,  遊此鞞舍離,
 往力士生地,  當入於涅槃.”
 漸次第遊行,  至彼蒲加城,
 安住堅固林,  教誡諸比丘:
“吾今以中夜,  當入於涅槃,
 汝等當依法,  是則尊勝處.
 不入脩多羅,  亦不慎律儀,
 真實義相違,  則不應攝受.
 非法亦非律,  又非我所說,
 是則為闇說,  汝等應速捨.
 執受於明說,  是則非顛倒,
 是則我所說,  如法如律教.
 如我法律受,  是則為可信,
 言我法律非,  是則不可信.
 不解微細義,  謬隨於文字,
 是則為愚夫,  非法而妄說.
 不別其真偽,  無見而闇受,
 猶鍮金共肆,  誑惑於世間.
 愚夫習淺智,  不解真實義,
 受於相似法,  而作真法受.
 是故當審諦,  觀察真法律,
 猶如鍊金師,  燒打而取真.
 不知諸經論,  是則非黠慧,
 不應說所應,  應作不應見.
 當作平等受,  句義如說行,
 執劍無方便,  則反傷其手.
 辭句不巧便,  其義難了知,
 如夜行求室,  宅曠莫知處.
 失義則忘法,  忘法心馳亂,
 是故智慧士,  不違真實義.”
 說斯教誡已,  至於波婆城,
 彼諸力士眾,  設種種供養.
 時有長者子,  其名曰純陀,
 請佛至其舍,  供設最後飯.
 飯食說法畢,  行詣鳩夷城,
 度於蕨蕨河,  及熙連二河.
 彼有堅固林,  安隱閑靜處,
 入金河洗浴,  身若真金山.
 告勅阿難陀:   “於彼雙樹間,
 掃灑令清淨,  安置於繩床.
 吾今中夜時,  當入於涅槃.”
 阿難聞佛教,  氣塞而心悲,
 行泣而奉教,  布置訖還白.
 如來就繩床,  北首右脇臥,
 枕手累雙足,  猶如師子王,
 畢苦後邊身,  一臥永不起.
 弟子眾圍遶,  哀歎世眼滅,
 風止林流靜,  鳥獸寂無聲.
 樹木汁淚流,  華葉非時零,
 未離欲人天,  悉皆大惶怖.
 如人遊曠澤,  道險未至村,
 但恐行不至,  心懼形怱怱.
 如來畢竟臥,  而告阿難陀:
“往告諸力士,  我涅槃時至.
 彼若不見我,  永恨生大苦.”
 阿難受佛教,  悲泣而隨路,
 告彼諸力士:   “世尊已畢竟.”
 諸力士聞之,  極生大恐怖,
 士女奔馳出,  號泣至佛所,
 弊衣而散髮,  蒙塵身流汗,
 號慟詣彼林,  猶如天福盡,
 垂淚禮佛足,  憂悲身萎熟.
 如來安慰說:   “汝等勿憂悴,
 今應隨喜時,  不宜生憂慼.
 長劫之所規,  我今始獲得,
 已度根境界,  無盡清涼處.
 離地水火風,  寂靜不生滅,
 永除於憂患,  云何為我憂?
 我昔伽闍山,  欲捨於此身,
 以本因緣故,  存世至於今.
 守斯危脆身,  如毒蛇同居,
 今入於大寂,  眾苦緣已畢.
 不復更受身,  未來苦長息,
 汝等不復應,  為我生恐怖.”
 力士聞佛說,  入於大寂靜,
 心亂而目冥,  如覩大黑闇.
 合掌白佛言:   “佛離生死苦,
 永之寂滅樂,  我等實欣慶.
 猶如被燒舍,  親從盛火出,
 諸天猶歡喜,  何況於世人?
 如來既滅後,  群生無所覩,
 永違於救護,  是故生憂悲.
 譬如商人眾,  遠涉於曠野,
 唯有一導師,  忽然中道亡,
 大眾無所怙,  云何不憂悲?
 現世自證知,  覩一切知見,
 而不獲勝利,  舉世所應笑.
 譬如經寶山,  愚癡守貧苦.”
 如是諸力士,  向佛而悲訴,
 猶如人一子,  悲訴於慈父.
 佛以善誘辭,  顯示第一義,
 告諸力士眾:   “誠如汝所言,
 求道須精勤;  非但見我得.
 如我所說行,  得離眾苦網.
 行道存於心,  不必由見我.
 猶如疾病人,  依方服良藥,
 眾病自然除,  不待見醫師.
 不如我說行,  空見我無益.
 雖與我相遠,  行法為近我;
 同止不隨法,  當知去我遠.
 攝心莫放逸,  精勤修正業.
 人生於世間,  長夜眾苦迫,
 擾動不自安,  猶若風中燈.”
 時諸力士眾,  聞佛慈悲教,
 內感而收淚,  強自抑止歸.

[25] fú suǒ xíng zàn niè pán pǐn dì èr shí wǔ

fú zhì niè pán chù,  bǐng shě lí kōng xū,
 yóu rú yè yún míng,  xīng yuè shī guāng míng.
 guó tǔ xiān ān lè,  ér jīn dùn diāo cuì,
 yóu rú sàng cí fù,  gū nǚ cháng dú bēi.
 rú duān zhèng wú wén,  cōng míng ér báo dé,
 xīn biàn ér kǒu chī,  míng huì ér fá cái.
 shén tōng wú wēi yí,  cí bēi xīn xū wěi,
 gāo shèng ér wú lì,  wēi yí ér wú fǎ.
 bǐng shě lí yì rán,  sù róng ér jīn cuì,
 yóu rú qiū tián miáo,  shī shuǐ xī kū wēi.
 huò duàn huǒ miè yān,  huò duì shí wàng cān,
 xī fèi gōng sī yè,  bù xiū zhū sú yuán.
 niàn fú gǎn ēn shēn,  mò mò gè bù yán.
 shí shī zi lí chē,  qiáng rěn qí yōu bēi,
 chuí qì fā āi shēng,  yǐ biǎo juàn liàn xīn:
“pò huài zhū xié jìng,  xiǎn shì yú zhèng fǎ,

 chī àn wèi shēn shuǐ,  ài yù wèi jù làng,

 zhòng bìng wèi shù huā,  shuāi lǎo wèi xiān tiáo,
 sǐ wèi shù shēn gēn,  yǒu yè wèi qí yá,
 zhì huì gāng lì dāo,  néng duàn sān yǒu shù.
 wú míng wèi zuān suì,  tān yù wèi chì yàn,
 wǔ yù jìng jiè xīn,  miè zhī yǐ zhì shuǐ,
 jù zú shū shèng fǎ,  yǐ huài yú chī míng.
 jiàn ān yǐn zhèng lù,  jiū jìng zhū fán nǎo,
 cí bēi huà zhòng shēng,  yuàn qīn wú yì xiāng,
 yī qiè zhì tōng dá,  ér jīn xī qì shě.
 ruǎn měi qīng jìng yīn,  fāng shēn xiān zhǎng bì,
 dà xiān ér yǒu biān,  hé rén dé wú qióng?
 dāng jué shí qiān sù,  yīng qín qiú zhèng fǎ,
 rú xiǎn dào yù shuǐ,  shí yǐn sù jìn lù.
 fēi cháng shén bào nì,  pǔ huài wú guì jiàn,
 zhèng guān cún yú xīn,  suī mián yì cháng jué.”
 shí lí chē shī zi,  cháng niàn fú zhì huì,
 yàn lí yú shēng sǐ,  tàn mù rén shī zi.
 bù cún shì ēn ài,  shēn chóng lí yù dé,
 zhé fú qīng zào yì,  qī xīn jì jìng chù.
 qín xiū xíng huì shī,  yuǎn lí yú jiāo màn,
 lè dú xiū xián jū,  sī wéi zhēn shí fǎ.
 ěr shí yī qiè zhì,  yuán shēn shī zi gù,
 zhān bǐ bǐng shě lí,  ér shuō zhǎng cí jì:
“shì wú zhī zuì hòu,  yóu cǐ bǐng shě lí,
 wǎng lì shì shēng de,  dāng rù yú niè pán.”
 jiàn cì dì yóu xíng,  zhì bǐ pú jiā chéng,
 ān zhù jiān gù lín,  jiào jiè zhū bǐ qiū:
“wú jīn yǐ zhōng yè,  dāng rù yú niè pán,
 rǔ děng dāng yī fǎ,  shì zé zūn shèng chù.
 bù rù xiū duō luó,  yì bù shèn lǜ yí,

 shì gù dāng shěn dì,  guān chá zhēn fǎ lǜ,
 yóu rú liàn jīn shī,  shāo dǎ ér qǔ zhēn.
 bù zhī zhū jīng lùn,  shì zé fēi xiá huì,
 bù yīng shuō suǒ yīng,  yīng zuò bù yīng jiàn.
 dāng zuò píng děng shòu,  jù yì rú shuō xíng,
 zhí jiàn wú fāng biàn,  zé fǎn shāng qí shǒu.
 cí jù bù qiǎo biàn,  qí yì nán le zhī,
 rú yè xíng qiú shì,  zhái kuàng mò zhī chù.
 shī yì zé wàng fǎ,  wàng fǎ xīn chí luàn,
 shì gù zhì huì shì,  bù wéi zhēn shí yì.”
 shuō sī jiào jiè yǐ,  zhì yú bō pó chéng,
 bǐ zhū lì shì zhòng,  shè zhǒng zhǒng gōng yǎng.
 shí yǒu zhǎng zhě zi,  qí míng yuē chún tuó,
 qǐng fú zhì qí shě,  gōng shè zuì hòu fàn.
 fàn shí shuō fǎ bì,  xíng yì jiū yí chéng,
 dù yú jué jué hé,  jí xī lián èr hé.
 bǐ yǒu jiān gù lín,  ān yǐn xián jìng chù,
 rù jīn hé xǐ yù,  shēn ruò zhēn jīn shān.
 gào chì ā nán tuó:   “yú bǐ shuāng shù jiān,
 sǎo sǎ lìng qīng jìng,  ān zhì yú shéng chuáng.
 wú jīn zhōng yè shí,  dāng rù yú niè pán.”
 ā nán wén fú jiào,  qì sāi ér xīn bēi,
 xíng qì ér fèng jiào,  bù zhì qì hái bái.
 rú lái jiù shéng chuáng,  běi shǒu yòu xié wò,
 zhěn shǒu lèi shuāng zú,  yóu rú shī zi wáng,
 bì kǔ hòu biān shēn,  yī wò yǒng bù qǐ.
 dì zi zhòng wéi rào,  āi tàn shì yǎn miè,
 fēng zhǐ lín liú jìng,  niǎo shòu jì wú shēng.
 shù mù zhī lèi liú,  huá yè fēi shí líng,
 wèi lí yù rén tiān,  xī jiē dà huáng bù.
 rú rén yóu kuàng zé,  dào xiǎn wèi zhì cūn,
 dàn kǒng xíng bù zhì,  xīn jù xíng cōng cōng.
 rú lái bì jìng wò,  ér gào ā nán tuó:
“wǎng gào zhū lì shì,  wǒ niè pán shí zhì.
 bǐ ruò bù jiàn wǒ,  yǒng hèn shēng dà kǔ.”
 ā nán shòu fú jiào,  bēi qì ér suí lù,
 gào bǐ zhū lì shì:   “shì zūn yǐ bì jìng.”
 zhū lì shì wén zhī,  jí shēng dà kǒng bù,
 shì nǚ bēn chí chū,  hào qì zhì fú suǒ,
 bì yī ér sàn fà,  méng chén shēn liú hàn,
 hào tòng yì bǐ lín,  yóu rú tiān fú jǐn,
 chuí lèi lǐ fú zú,  yōu bēi shēn wēi shú.
 rú lái ān wèi shuō:   “rǔ děng wù yōu cuì,
 jīn yīng suí xǐ shí,  bù yí shēng yōu qī.
 zhǎng jié zhī suǒ guī,  wǒ jīn shǐ huò dé,
 yǐ dù gēn jìng jiè,  wú jǐn qīng liáng chù.
 lí de shuǐ huǒ fēng,  jì jìng bù shēng miè,
 yǒng chú yú yōu huàn,  yún hé wèi wǒ yōu?
 wǒ xī jiā dū shān,  yù shě yú cǐ shēn,
 yǐ běn yīn yuán gù,  cún shì zhì yú jīn.
 shǒu sī wēi cuì shēn,  rú dú shé tóng jū,
 jīn rù yú dà jì,  zhòng kǔ yuán yǐ bì.
 bù fù gèng shòu shēn,  wèi lái kǔ zhǎng xī,
 rǔ děng bù fù yīng,  wèi wǒ shēng kǒng bù.”
 lì shì wén fú shuō,  rù yú dà jì jìng,
 xīn luàn ér mù míng,  rú dǔ dà hēi àn.
 hé zhǎng bái fú yán:   “fú lí shēng sǐ kǔ,
 yǒng zhī jì miè lè,  wǒ děng shí xīn qìng.
 yóu rú bèi shāo shě,  qīn cóng shèng huǒ chū,
 zhū tiān yóu huān xǐ,  hé kuàng yú shì rén?
 rú lái jì miè hòu,  qún shēng wú suǒ dǔ,
 yǒng wéi yú jiù hù,  shì gù shēng yōu bēi.
 pì rú shāng rén zhòng,  yuǎn shè yú kuàng yě,
 wéi yǒu yī dǎo shī,  hū rán zhōng dào wáng,
 dà zhòng wú suǒ hù,  yún hé bù yōu bēi?
 xiàn shì zì zhèng zhī,  dǔ yī qiè zhī jiàn,
 ér bù huò shèng lì,  jǔ shì suǒ yīng xiào.
 pì rú jīng bǎo shān,  yú chī shǒu pín kǔ.”
 rú shì zhū lì shì,  xiàng fú ér bēi sù,
 yóu rú rén yī zi,  bēi sù yú cí fù.
 fú yǐ shàn yòu cí,  xiǎn shì dì yī yì,
 gào zhū lì shì zhòng:   “chéng rú rǔ suǒ yán,
 qiú dào xū jīng qín;  fēi dàn jiàn wǒ dé.
 rú wǒ suǒ shuō xíng,  dé lí zhòng kǔ wǎng.
 xíng dào cún yú xīn,  bù bì yóu jiàn wǒ.
 yóu rú jí bìng rén,  yī fāng fú liáng yào,
 zhòng bìng zì rán chú,  bù dài jiàn yī shī.
 bù rú wǒ shuō xíng,  kōng jiàn wǒ wú yì.
 suī yǔ wǒ xiāng yuǎn,  xíng fǎ wèi jìn wǒ;
 tóng zhǐ bù suí fǎ,  dāng zhī qù wǒ yuǎn.
 shè xīn mò fàng yì,  jīng qín xiū zhèng yè.
 rén shēng yú shì jiān,  zhǎng yè zhòng kǔ pò,
 rǎo dòng bù zì ān,  yóu ruò fēng zhōng dēng.”

fu zhi nie pan chu, bing she li kong xu,
you ru ye yun ming, xing yue shi guang ming.
guo tu xian an le, er jin dun diao cui,
you ru sang ci fu, gu nu chang du bei.
ru duan zheng wu wen, cong ming er bao de,
xin bian er kou chi, ming hui er fa cai.
shen tong wu wei yi, ci bei xin xu wei,
gao sheng er wu li, wei yi er wu fa.
bing she li yi ran, su rong er jin cui,
you ru qiu tian miao, shi shui xi ku wei.
huo duan huo mie yan, huo dui shi wang can,
xi fei gong si ye, bu xiu zhu su yuan.
nian fu gan en shen, mo mo ge bu yan.
shi shi zi li che, qiang ren qi you bei,
chui qi fa ai sheng, yi biao juan lian xin:
"po huai zhu xie jing, xian shi yu zheng fa,
yi jiang zhu wai dao, sui wang bu fu hai.
shi jue li shi dao, wu chang wei da bing,
shi zun ru da ji, wu yi wu you jiu.
fang bian zui sheng zun, qian guang jiu jing chu,
wo deng shi qiang zhi, ru huo jue qi xin.
shi zun she shi yin, qun sheng shen ke bei,
ru ren shi shen li, ju shi gong ai zhi.
tao shu tou liang chi, zao han yi ping huo,
yi dan xi kuo ran, qun sheng he suo gui?
tong da shu sheng fa, wei shi tao zhu shi,
shi jian shi zai zheng, ren sang dao ze wang,
lao bing si zi zai, dao sang fei dao tong.
neng huai da ku ji, shi jian he you shuang?
meng re ji yan sheng, da yun yu ling xiao,
tan yu huo chi ran, qi shui neng ling mie?
jian gu neng dan zhe, yi she shi zhong ren,
fu he zhi hui li, neng wei bu qing you.
ru bi lin xing qiu, wei si er zui jiu,
zhong sheng mi huo shi, wei wei si shou sheng,
li ju yi jie cai, wu chang jie shi jian.
chi an wei shen shui, ai yu wei ju lang,
fan nao wei fu mo, xie jian mo jie yu,
wei you zhi hui chuan, neng du si da hai.
zhong bing wei shu hua, shuai lao wei xian tiao,
si wei shu shen gen, you ye wei qi ya,
zhi hui gang li dao, neng duan san you shu.
wu ming wei zuan sui, tan yu wei chi yan,
wu yu jing jie xin, mie zhi yi zhi shui,
ju zu shu sheng fa, yi huai yu chi ming.
jian an yin zheng lu, jiu jing zhu fan nao,
ci bei hua zhong sheng, yuan qin wu yi xiang,
yi qie zhi tong da, er jin xi qi she.
ruan mei qing jing yin, fang shen xian zhang bi,
da xian er you bian, he ren de wu qiong?
dang jue shi qian su, ying qin qiu zheng fa,
ru xian dao yu shui, shi yin su jin lu.
fei chang shen bao ni, pu huai wu gui jian,
zheng guan cun yu xin, sui mian yi chang jue."
shi li che shi zi, chang nian fu zhi hui,
yan li yu sheng si, tan mu ren shi zi.
bu cun shi en ai, shen chong li yu de,
zhe fu qing zao yi, qi xin ji jing chu.
qin xiu xing hui shi, yuan li yu jiao man,
le du xiu xian ju, si wei zhen shi fa.
er shi yi qie zhi, yuan shen shi zi gu,
zhan bi bing she li, er shuo zhang ci ji:
"shi wu zhi zui hou, you ci bing she li,
wang li shi sheng de, dang ru yu nie pan."
jian ci di you xing, zhi bi pu jia cheng,
an zhu jian gu lin, jiao jie zhu bi qiu:
"wu jin yi zhong ye, dang ru yu nie pan,
ru deng dang yi fa, shi ze zun sheng chu.
bu ru xiu duo luo, yi bu shen lu yi,
zhen shi yi xiang wei, ze bu ying she shou.
fei fa yi fei lu, you fei wo suo shuo,
shi ze wei an shuo, ru deng ying su she.
zhi shou yu ming shuo, shi ze fei dian dao,
shi ze wo suo shuo, ru fa ru lu jiao.
ru wo fa lu shou, shi ze wei ke xin,
yan wo fa lu fei, shi ze bu ke xin.
bu jie wei xi yi, miu sui yu wen zi,

shuo si jiao jie yi, zhi yu bo po cheng,
bi zhu li shi zhong, she zhong zhong gong yang.
shi you zhang zhe zi, qi ming yue chun tuo,
qing fu zhi qi she, gong she zui hou fan.
fan shi shuo fa bi, xing yi jiu yi cheng,
du yu jue jue he, ji xi lian er he.
bi you jian gu lin, an yin xian jing chu,
ru jin he xi yu, shen ruo zhen jin shan.
gao chi a nan tuo: "yu bi shuang shu jian,
sao sa ling qing jing, an zhi yu sheng chuang.
wu jin zhong ye shi, dang ru yu nie pan."
a nan wen fu jiao, qi sai er xin bei,
xing qi er feng jiao, bu zhi qi hai bai.
ru lai jiu sheng chuang, bei shou you xie wo,
zhen shou lei shuang zu, you ru shi zi wang,
bi ku hou bian shen, yi wo yong bu qi.
di zi zhong wei rao, ai tan shi yan mie,
feng zhi lin liu jing, niao shou ji wu sheng.
shu mu zhi lei liu, hua ye fei shi ling,
wei li yu ren tian, xi jie da huang bu.
ru ren you kuang ze, dao xian wei zhi cun,
dan kong xing bu zhi, xin ju xing cong cong.
ru lai bi jing wo, er gao a nan tuo:
"wang gao zhu li shi, wo nie pan shi zhi.
bi ruo bu jian wo, yong hen sheng da ku."
a nan shou fu jiao, bei qi er sui lu,
gao bi zhu li shi: "shi zun yi bi jing."
zhu li shi wen zhi, ji sheng da kong bu,
shi nu ben chi chu, hao qi zhi fu suo,
bi yi er san fa, meng chen shen liu han,
hao tong yi bi lin, you ru tian fu jin,
chui lei li fu zu, you bei shen wei shu.
ru lai an wei shuo: "ru deng wu you cui,
jin ying sui xi shi, bu yi sheng you qi.
zhang jie zhi suo gui, wo jin shi huo de,
yi du gen jing jie, wu jin qing liang chu.
li de shui huo feng, ji jing bu sheng mie,
yong chu yu you huan, yun he wei wo you?
wo xi jia du shan, yu she yu ci shen,
yi ben yin yuan gu, cun shi zhi yu jin.
shou si wei cui shen, ru du she tong ju,
jin ru yu da ji, zhong ku yuan yi bi.
bu fu geng shou shen, wei lai ku zhang xi,
ru deng bu fu ying, wei wo sheng kong bu."
li shi wen fu shuo, ru yu da ji jing,
xin luan er mu ming, ru du da hei an.
he zhang bai fu yan: "fu li sheng si ku,
yong zhi ji mie le, wo deng shi xin qing.
you ru bei shao she, qin cong sheng huo chu,
zhu tian you huan xi, he kuang yu shi ren?
ru lai ji mie hou, qun sheng wu suo du,
yong wei yu jiu hu, shi gu sheng you bei.
pi ru shang ren zhong, yuan she yu kuang ye,
wei you yi dao shi, hu ran zhong dao wang,
da zhong wu suo hu, yun he bu you bei?
xian shi zi zheng zhi, du yi qie zhi jian,
er bu huo sheng li, ju shi suo ying xiao.
pi ru jing bao shan, yu chi shou pin ku."
ru shi zhu li shi, xiang fu er bei su,
you ru ren yi zi, bei su yu ci fu.
fu yi shan you ci, xian shi di yi yi,
gao zhu li shi zhong: "cheng ru ru suo yan,
qiu dao xu jing qin; fei dan jian wo de.
ru wo suo shuo xing, de li zhong ku wang.
xing dao cun yu xin, bu bi you jian wo.
you ru ji bing ren, yi fang fu liang yao,
zhong bing zi ran chu, bu dai jian yi shi.
bu ru wo shuo xing, kong jian wo wu yi.
sui yu wo xiang yuan, xing fa wei jin wo;
tong zhi bu sui fa, dang zhi qu wo yuan.
she xin mo fang yi, jing qin xiu zheng ye.
ren sheng yu shi jian, zhang ye zhong ku po,
rao dong bu zi an, you ruo feng zhong deng."
shi zhu li shi zhong, wen fu ci bei jiao,
nei gan er shou lei, qiang zi yi zhi gui.
