Chapter 8: The Grief of the Entire Palace

车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) led the horse back, his heart filled with a sense of hopelessness and grief. He cried and wailed along the road, unable to control himself.

The journey that had taken one night with the prince now took him eight days to reach the city without the prince. He felt as if he had been robbed of a divine blessing.

He lingered and yearned, and it took him eight days to reach the city. The good horse, whose body was normally swift, had a dignified and majestic appearance.

It stumbled and looked around, unable to see the prince's form. Tears flowed down its four limbs, and it was haggard and had lost its luster.

It turned around and cried out in sorrow, and it forgot about water and grass day and night. It had lost the savior of the world and returned to 迦毘罗 [jia pi luo] (Jiā Pí Luó, Kapilavastu).

The country was all desolate, as if entering an empty village. It was as if the sun had hidden behind Sumeru, and the whole world was dim.

The pools were not clear, and the flowers and fruits were not flourishing. The men and women on the streets were sad and had lost their happy expressions.

车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) and the white horse walked sadly, not moving forward. When asked questions, they could not answer, and they were slow as if they were corpses.

When the crowd saw 车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) return, but not the prince, they cried out loudly, like people who had returned after abandoning Rāma.

There were some people on the side of the road who bowed and asked 车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka): "The prince is loved by the world; he is the life of the entire country.

How could you have stolen him away and taken him? Where is he now?" 车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) suppressed his grief and replied to the people:

"I yearned for him and followed him; I did not abandon the prince. The prince abandoned me and also abandoned his worldly demeanor.

He shaved his head, put on the robe of the Dharma, and then entered the forest of asceticism." When the people heard that he had left home, they were shocked and felt a sense of wonder.

They sobbed and wept, and their tears flowed down. They said to each other, "What should we do?" The crowd all agreed, saying:

"We should all follow him and go. It is like when the root of a person's life is broken, and the body dies and the spirit leaves.

The prince is our life. How can we live when our life is lost? This city has become a hill and a forest, and that forest has become a city.

This city has lost its majesty, like killing Bṛhaspati." The men and women in the city, who had falsely heard that the prince had returned,

Rushed out onto the road, only to see the horse returning alone. Not knowing whether he was alive or dead, they cried in various voices.

车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) walked and led the horse, sighing and crying. He was sad at the loss of the prince, and a feeling of fear was added to his heart.

He was like a soldier who had defeated an enemy, but was now bringing back the enemy to the king. When he entered the gate, his tears rained down.

He saw nothing, and looked up at the sky and cried loudly. The white horse also cried sorrowfully. The various birds and beasts in the palace, and the horses in the royal stable,

Heard the white horse's sorrowful cry and neighed in response. They thought the prince had returned, but when they did not see him, they stopped their sounds.

The various palace women in the back palace heard the cries of the horse and the birds and beasts. Their hair was disheveled, their faces were sallow, and their bodies were thin, and their lips and mouths were dry.

They wore ragged clothes that were not washed, and their bodies were dirty and unbathed. They had all abandoned their adornments and were haggard and not fresh and bright.

Their bodies had no luster, like small stars. Their clothes were torn and tattered, like people who had been robbed.

When they saw 车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) and the white horse, they cried with a sense of hopelessness. They were heartbroken and wailed, like people who had just lost a relative.

They were in a state of confusion and agitation, like a cow that has lost its way. The Great Mother, 瞿曇彌 [qu tan mi] (Qú Tán Mí, Gautami), heard that the prince had not returned.

She threw herself to the ground, and her four limbs were all injured. She was like a golden banana tree destroyed by a strong wind.

She also heard that her son had left home and sighed, filled with sorrow. "His soft hair, which spirals to the right, with one hair growing out of each pore.

It is black, clean, fresh, and lustrous, and it hangs straight to the ground. Why would he shave his hair and place it on the dirt, along with his heavenly crown?

His muscular arms and lion-like walk, his broad and long eyes like an ox king, his body radiant like golden flames, and his square chest and Brahma-like voice.

With these supreme and wonderful signs, he has entered the forest of asceticism. How little merit does the world have to lose this lord of the holy land?

His wonderfully webbed and soft feet, the color of a pure lotus flower, how can they step on the dirt, stones, and thorns of the forest?

He grew up in the deep palace, with warm clothes and soft garments, bathed in fragrant water, and his body was smeared with fragrant powders.

Now he is exposed to the wind and dew; how can he endure the cold and heat? The noble and great man, with a prominent status and great knowledge,

His virtue is complete and his reputation is high, and he always gives without asking for anything. How, in one morning, does he now beg for food to live?

He slept on a pure jeweled bed, with music to wake him from his slumber. How can he lie on the grass and dirt in the mountains and forests?"

Thinking of her son, her heart was filled with sorrow, and she fainted and fell to the ground. The servants helped her up and wiped the tears from her eyes.

The other ladies were also sad, and their four limbs were slumped. Their hearts were filled with sadness, and they were motionless, like painted figures.

At that time, 耶輸陀羅 [ye shu tuo luo] (Yé Shū Tuó Luó, Yasodharā) deeply blamed 车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka), saying: "My cherished one is gone. Where is he now?

Three of you went together, but now only two have returned. My heart is extremely afraid and trembling; I cannot be at peace.

You are ultimately not a righteous person, not a close or good friend. You are inauspicious and violent. Why are you crying when you should be laughing?

You took him away and now you are crying as you return. This is contradictory. You are an intimate companion who thinks only of yourself and acts as your heart desires.

That is why the holy prince left and did not return. You should be very happy now, for your evil deed has been accomplished.

It is better to be near a wise enemy than to associate with a foolish friend. You have a reputation as a good friend, but in your heart, you hold a grudge.

This noble royal family has been destroyed in a single morning. These noble ladies are sad and their beauty is ruined.

Their tears and sobs have stopped their breath, and their tears flow horizontally. Their husbands are still in the world, and they rely on them like the snowy mountains.

They are at peace like the earth, but their sorrow and grief will cause them to die. How can those who are crying and wailing in this windowed house

Endure the suffering of being left behind by their lord, while he is still alive? I say to the horse, you are unrighteous. You have taken away the one people hold dear.

You are like a hateful thief who robs precious jewels in the dark. When you were in battle, you could endure all the sharp swords and arrows.

How can you not endure this now? You are the supreme of one lineage, yet you have forcefully taken my heart away.

You are a vile and wicked creature who has done an unrighteous deed. Today you cry out loudly, and your voice fills the palace.

Why were you mute when you stole my cherished one before? If you had made a sound then, the whole palace would have been aware.

If we had been aware then, we would not have this suffering now." When 车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) heard these bitter words, he suppressed his breath, and his breath stopped.

He wiped his tears, joined his palms, and replied, "Please listen to my explanation. Do not blame the white horse, and do not be angry with me.

We are all without fault; it was the gods who did this. I was extremely afraid of the king's law, but the gods compelled me.

They quickly gave me the horse and let me go, as fast as a flying bird. They suppressed the sound of the horse, and its feet did not touch the ground.

The city gates opened by themselves, and the sky became bright by itself. All of this was the power of the gods; it was not my doing."

When 耶輸陀 [ye shu tuo] (Yé Shū Tuó Luó, Yasodharā) heard this, a sense of wonder arose in her heart. "This was the doing of the gods; it is not their fault."

Her blame and anger disappeared, and her great suffering was extinguished. She fell to the ground and wailed in resentment: "The pair of ospreys have separated.

I have now lost my support, and I am separated from my companion in the Dharma while he is alive. He delights in the Dharma and abandons his companion; where can he seek the Dharma again?

The great and noble ones of ancient times, the kings who were delightful to see, all went to the mountains and forests to study the Dharma with their wives.

But now he has abandoned me. What kind of Dharma is he seeking? The Brahmin's sacrifice requires the husband and wife to be together.

They are together because of the Dharma, and in the end, they receive the same reward. How can you be so stingy with the Dharma, abandoning me and wandering alone?

Perhaps you see my jealousy and wickedness and are seeking a woman without jealousy? Or perhaps you dislike me and are seeking a pure goddess?

What superior virtue or appearance requires you to practice asceticism? Because of my misfortune, we are separated while alive.

Why did 罗睺罗 [luo hou luo] (Luó Hóu Luó, Rāhula) not get to be on your lap? Alas, you are an inauspicious person! Your face is gentle, but your heart is hard.

You are the glory of a noble clan, and even your enemies and those who hate you respect you. Yet you can abandon your son while he is still a baby.

I am also heartless, and my husband has abandoned me to wander in the mountains and forests. I cannot just disappear, so I am like a person made of wood and stone."

After speaking, her heart was confused. Sometimes she cried, and sometimes she spoke wildly. Sometimes she stared and was lost in thought, and she was choked up with sobs.

Her breath was on the verge of ending, and she lay on the dirt. The other palace women saw this and felt great sorrow.

They were like beautiful lotuses that had been destroyed by a storm of wind and hail. The father king lost his prince, and his heart was filled with sorrow day and night.

He fasted and sought the gods, wishing for his son to return quickly. After he had made his vows and prayers, he came out of the gate of the heavenly shrine.

He heard the sounds of crying and was shocked and confused. He was like a group of elephants that were scattered and running away after hearing a great clap of thunder.

He saw 车匿 [che ni] (Chē Nì, Chandaka) and the white horse and asked extensively, learning that the prince had left home. He threw his body to the ground, like the collapse of Indra's banner.

His ministers slowly helped him up and comforted him with the Dharma, telling him to be at peace. After a while, his heart slightly sobered, and he spoke to the white horse, saying:

"I have often ridden you in battle and always thought you were meritorious. But now I hate you more than I loved you before.

The meritorious son I cherish, you have just carried him away. You have thrown him into the mountains and forests, and you have returned alone.

You must quickly take me to him, or bring him back. If you do not do one of these two things, my life will not be preserved.

There is no other cure; I am just waiting for my son to be the medicine. Like the Brahmin Sāñjaya, who killed himself for his son's death,

I will kill myself if I lose my son who practices the Dharma, and I will have no body. Manu, the lord of living beings, also grieved for his son.

How can I, an ordinary person, be at peace after losing my son? The ancient King Aja, who loved his son wandering in the mountains and forests,

Grieved and died, and was immediately reborn in heaven. I cannot die now, but I must live with this sorrow and suffering for a long time.

The whole palace, thinking of my son, is as thirsty as a hungry ghost. It is like a thirsty person who searches for water, but when they are about to drink it, it is taken away.

If they die of thirst, they will surely be reborn as a hungry ghost. Now I am extremely thirsty, but the water that is my son has been lost again.

Before I die, quickly tell me where my son is. Do not let me die of thirst and fall into the realm of hungry ghosts.

My resolve and strength were originally strong, as unshakable as the earth. But now that I have lost my son, my heart is agitated, like the former King Daśaratha."

The king's teacher, a man of great knowledge, and the minister, who was wise and intelligent, both advised the king with words that were not too lenient or too harsh:

"Please calm your emotions and do not harm yourself with sorrow. The great kings of ancient times abandoned their countries like scattered flowers.

Your son has now gone to study the Way; why should you suffer from sorrow and grief? You should remember Asita's prophecy; this is what should happen.

He will find heavenly joy and become a world-turning sage, pure and unburdened. How can a worldly king move the heart of a golden king?

We will now send people to find his whereabouts. We will use various skillful and bitter arguments to show our sincerity.

We hope to make him yield to our will to comfort your sorrow and grief." The king was happy and replied, "You two must go quickly.

Like the Śaguna bird, who circles in the sky for her children, my heart is also agitated and worried, thinking of the prince."

After the two received the order, the king and his relatives felt a little cooler in their hearts, and their breath became regular, and they were able to eat and drink.

[8] 佛所行讚合宮憂悲品第八

車匿牽馬還,  望絕心悲塞,
 隨路號泣行,  不能自開割.
 先與太子俱,  一宿之徑路,
 今捨太子還,  生奪天蔭故.
 徘徊心顧戀,  八日乃至城,
 良馬素體駿,  奮迅有威相.
 躑躅顧瞻仰,  不覩太子形,
 流淚四體垂,  憔悴失光澤.
 旋轉慟悲鳴,  日夜忘水草,
 遺失救世主,  還歸迦毘羅.
 國土悉廓然,  如入空聚落,
 如日隱須彌,  舉世悉曛冥.
 泉池不澄清,  華果不榮茂,
 巷路諸士女,  憂慼失歡容.
 車匿與白馬,  悵怏行不前,
 問事不能答,  遲遲若尸行.
 眾見車匿還,  不見釋王子,
 舉聲大號泣,  如棄羅摩還.
 有人來路傍,  傾身問車匿:
“王子世所愛,  舉國人之命.
 汝輙盜將去,  今為何所在?”
 車匿抑悲心,  而答眾人言:
“我眷戀追逐,  不捨於王子,
 王子捐棄我,  并捨俗威儀,
 剃頭被法服,  遂入苦行林.”
 眾人聞出家,  驚起奇特想,
 嗚咽而啼泣,  涕淚交流下,
 各各相告語,  我等作何計?
 眾人咸議言:   “悉當追隨去,
 如人命根壞,  身死形神離.
 王子是我命,  失命我豈生?
 此邑成丘林,  彼林城郭邑,
 此城失威德,  如殺毘梨多.”
 城內諸士女,  虛傳王子還,
 奔馳出路上,  唯見馬空歸,
 莫知其存亡,  悲泣種種聲.
 車匿步牽馬,  歔欷垂淚還,
 失太子憂悲,  加增怖懼心,
 如戰士破敵,  執怨送王前.
 入門淚雨下,  滿目無所見,
 仰天大啼哭,  白馬亦悲鳴,
 宮中雜鳥獸,  內廐諸群馬,
 聞白馬悲鳴,  長鳴而應之,
 謂呼太子還,  不見而絕聲.
 後宮諸婇女,  聞馬鳥獸鳴,
 亂髮面萎黃,  形瘦脣口乾.
 弊衣不浣濯,  垢穢不浴身,
 悉捨莊嚴具,  毀悴不鮮明.
 舉體無光耀,  猶如細小星,
 衣裳壞繿縷,  狀如被賊形.
 見車匿白馬,  涕泣絕望歸,
 感結而號咷,  猶如新喪親,
 狂亂而搔擾,  如牛失其道.
 大愛瞿曇彌,  聞太子不還,
 竦身自投地,  四體悉傷壞,
 猶如狂風摧,  金色芭蕉樹.
 又聞子出家,  長歎增悲感:
“右旋細軟髮,  一孔一髮生.
 黑淨鮮光澤,  平住而灑地,
 何意合天冠?  剃著草土中.
 傭臂師子步,  脩廣牛王目,
 身光黃金炎,  方臆梵音聲.
 持是上妙相,  入於苦行林,
 世間何薄福,  失斯聖地主?
 妙網柔軟足,  清淨蓮花色,
 土石刺棘林,  云何而可蹈?
 生長於深宮,  溫衣細軟服,
 沐浴以香湯,  末香以塗身.
 今則置風露,  寒暑安可堪?
 華族大丈夫,  標挺勝多聞,
 德備名稱高,  常施無所求,
 云何忽一朝,  乞食以活身?
 清淨寶床臥,  奏樂以覺惽,
 豈能山樹間,  草土以籍身?”
 念子心悲痛,  悶絕而躄地,
 侍人扶令起,  為拭其目淚.
 其餘諸夫人,  憂苦四體垂,
 內感心慘結,  不動如畫人.
 時耶輸陀羅,  深責車匿言:
“生亡我所欽,  今為在何所?
 人馬三共行,  今唯二來歸,
 我心極惶怖,  戰慄不自安.
 終是不正人,  不昵非善友,
 不吉縱強暴,  應笑用啼為?
 將去而啼還,  反覆不相應.
 愛念自在伴,  隨欲恣心作,
 故使聖王子,  一去不復歸.
 汝今應大喜,  作惡已果成.
 寧近智慧怨,  不習愚癡友,
 假名為良朋,  內實懷怨結.
 今此勝王家,  一旦悉破壞,
 此諸貴夫人,  憂悴毀形好,
 涕泣氣息絕,  雨淚橫流下.
 夫主尚在世,  依止如雪山,
 安意如大地,  憂悲殆至死,
 況此窓牖中,  悲泣長叫者,
 生亡其所天,  是苦何可堪?
 告馬汝無義,  奪人心所重,
 猶如闇冥中,  怨賊劫珍寶.
 乘汝戰鬪時,  刀刃鋒利箭,
 一切悉能堪,  今有何不忍?
 一族之殊勝,  強奪我心去,
 汝是弊惡蟲,  造諸不正業.
 今日大嗚呼!   聲滿於王宮,
 先劫我所念,  爾時何以瘂?
 若爾時有聲,  舉宮悉應覺,
 爾時若覺者,  不生今苦惱.”
 車匿聞苦言,  飲氣而息結,
 收淚合掌答:   “願聽我自陳,
 莫嫌責白馬,  亦莫恚於我.
 我等悉無過,  天神之所為,
 我極畏王法,  天神所駈逼.
 速牽馬與之,  俱去疾如飛,
 厭氣令無聲,  足亦不觸地.
 城門自然開,  虛空自然明,
 斯皆天神力,  豈是我所為?”
 耶輸陀聞說,  心生奇特想,
 天神之所為,  非是斯等咎.
 嫌責心消除,  熾然大苦息,
 躃地稱怨歎:   “雙輸鳥分乖,
 我今失依怙,  同法行生離,
 樂法捨同行,  何處更求法?
 古昔諸先勝,  大快見王等,
 斯皆夫妻俱,  學道遊林野.
 而今捨於我,  為求何等法?
 梵志祠祀典,  夫妻必同行,
 同行法為因,  終則同受報,
 汝何獨法慳,  棄我而隻遊?
 或見我嫉惡,  更求無嫉者?
 或當嫌薄我,  更求淨天女?
 為何勝德色,  修習於苦行?
 以我薄命故,  夫妻生別離,
 羅睺羅何故,  不蒙於膝下?
 嗚呼不吉士!   貌柔而心剛,
 勝族盛光榮,  怨憎猶宗仰.
 又子生未孩,  而能永棄捨,
 我亦無心腸,  夫棄遊山林,
 不能自泯沒,  此則木石人.”
 言已心迷亂,  或哭或狂言,
 或瞪視沈思,  哽咽不自勝,
 惙惙氣殆盡,  臥於塵土中.
 諸餘婇女眾,  見生悲痛心,
 猶如盛蓮花,  風雹摧令萎.
 父王失太子,  晝夜心悲戀,
 齋戒求天神,  願令子速還.
 發願祈請已,  出於天祠門,
 聞諸啼哭聲,  驚怖心迷亂,
 如天大雷震,  群象亂奔馳.
 見車匿白馬,  廣問知出家,
 舉身投於地,  如崩帝釋幢.
 諸臣徐扶起,  以法勸令安,
 久而心小醒,  而告白馬言:
“我數乘汝戰,  每念汝有功,
 今者憎惡汝,  倍於愛念時.
 所念功德子,  汝輙運令去,
 擲著山林中,  猶自空來歸.
 汝速持我往,  不爾往將還,
 不為此二者,  我命將不存.
 更無餘方治,  唯待子為藥,
 如珊闍梵志,  為子死殺身,
 我失行法子,  自殺令無身.
 摩㝹眾生主,  亦當為子憂,
 況復我常人?  失子能自安?
 古昔阿闍王,  愛子遊山林,
 感思而命終,  即時得生天.
 吾今不能死,  長夜住憂苦,
 合宮念吾子,  虛渴如餓鬼,
 如人渴探水,  欲飲而奪之.
 守渴而命終,  必生餓鬼趣.
 今我至虛渴,  得子水復失,
 及我未命終,  速語我子處,
 勿令我渴死,  墮於餓鬼中.
 我素志力強,  難動如大地,
 失子心躁亂,  如昔十車王.”
 王師多聞士,  大臣智聰達,
 二人勸諫王,  不緩亦不切:
“願自寬情念,  勿以憂自傷,
 古昔諸勝王,  棄國如散花.
 子今行學道,  何足苦憂悲?
 當憶阿私記,  理數自應然.
 天樂轉輪聖,  蕭然不累清,
 豈曰世界王,  能移金王心?
 今當使我等,  推求到其所,
 方便苦諫諍,  以表我丹誠,
 要望降其志,  以慰王憂悲.”
 王喜即答言:   “唯汝等速行,
 如舍君陀鳥,  為子空中旋,
 我今念太子,  便悁心亦然.”
 二人既受命,  王與諸眷屬,
 其心小清涼,  氣宣飡飲通.

[8] fú suǒ xíng zàn hé gōng yōu bēi pǐn dì bā

chē nì qiān mǎ hái,  wàng jué xīn bēi sāi,
 suí lù hào qì xíng,  bù néng zì kāi gē.
 xiān yǔ tài zi jù,  yī sù zhī jìng lù,
 jīn shě tài zi hái,  shēng duó tiān yīn gù.
 pái huái xīn gù liàn,  bā rì nǎi zhì chéng,
 liáng mǎ sù tǐ jùn,  fèn xùn yǒu wēi xiāng.
 zhí zhú gù zhān yǎng,  bù dǔ tài zi xíng,
 liú lèi sì tǐ chuí,  qiáo cuì shī guāng zé.
 xuán zhuǎn tòng bēi míng,  rì yè wàng shuǐ cǎo,
 yí shī jiù shì zhǔ,  hái guī jiā pí luó.
 guó tǔ xī kuò rán,  rú rù kōng jù luò,
 rú rì yǐn xū mí,  jǔ shì xī xūn míng.
 quán chí bù chéng qīng,  huá guǒ bù róng mào,
 xiàng lù zhū shì nǚ,  yōu qī shī huān róng.
 chē nì yǔ bái mǎ,  chàng yàng xíng bù qián,
 wèn shì bù néng dá,  chí chí ruò shī xíng.
 zhòng jiàn chē nì hái,  bù jiàn shì wáng zi,
 jǔ shēng dà hào qì,  rú qì luó mó hái.
 yǒu rén lái lù bàng,  qīng shēn wèn chē nì:
“wáng zi shì suǒ ài,  jǔ guó rén zhī mìng.
 rǔ zhé dào jiāng qù,  jīn wèi hé suǒ zài?”
 chē nì yì bēi xīn,  ér dá zhòng rén yán:
“wǒ juàn liàn zhuī zhú,  bù shě yú wáng zi,
 wáng zi juān qì wǒ,  bìng shě sú wēi yí,
 tì tóu bèi fǎ fú,  suì rù kǔ xíng lín.”
 zhòng rén wén chū jiā,  jīng qǐ qí tè xiǎng,
 wū yàn ér tí qì,  tì lèi jiāo liú xià,
 gè gè xiāng gào yǔ,  wǒ děng zuò hé jì?
 zhòng rén xián yì yán:   “xī dāng zhuī suí qù,
 rú rén mìng gēn huài,  shēn sǐ xíng shén lí.
 wáng zi shì wǒ mìng,  shī mìng wǒ qǐ shēng?
 cǐ yì chéng qiū lín,  bǐ lín chéng guō yì,
 cǐ chéng shī wēi dé,  rú shā pí lí duō.”
 chéng nèi zhū shì nǚ,  xū chuán wáng zi hái,
 bēn chí chū lù shàng,  wéi jiàn mǎ kōng guī,
 mò zhī qí cún wáng,  bēi qì zhǒng zhǒng shēng.
 chē nì bù qiān mǎ,  xū xī chuí lèi hái,
 shī tài zi yōu bēi,  jiā zēng bù jù xīn,
 rú zhàn shì pò dí,  zhí yuàn sòng wáng qián.
 rù mén lèi yǔ xià,  mǎn mù wú suǒ jiàn,
 yǎng tiān dà tí kū,  bái mǎ yì bēi míng,
 gōng zhōng zá niǎo shòu,  nèi jiù zhū qún mǎ,
 wén bái mǎ bēi míng,  zhǎng míng ér yīng zhī,
 wèi hū tài zi hái,  bù jiàn ér jué shēng.
 hòu gōng zhū cāi nǚ,  wén mǎ niǎo shòu míng,
 luàn fà miàn wēi huáng,  xíng shòu chún kǒu gān.
 bì yī bù huàn zhuó,  gòu huì bù yù shēn,
 xī shě zhuāng yán jù,  huǐ cuì bù xiān míng.
 jǔ tǐ wú guāng yào,  yóu rú xì xiǎo xīng,
 yī shang huài lán lǚ,  zhuàng rú bèi zéi xíng.
 jiàn chē nì bái mǎ,  tì qì jué wàng guī,
 gǎn jié ér hào táo,  yóu rú xīn sàng qīn,
 kuáng luàn ér sāo rǎo,  rú niú shī qí dào.
 dà ài qú tán mí,  wén tài zi bù hái,
 sǒng shēn zì tóu de,  sì tǐ xī shāng huài,
 yóu rú kuáng fēng cuī,  jīn sè bā jiāo shù.
 yòu wén zi chū jiā,  zhǎng tàn zēng bēi gǎn:
“yòu xuán xì ruǎn fà,  yī kǒng yī fà shēng.
 hēi jìng xiān guāng zé,  píng zhù ér sǎ de,
 hé yì hé tiān guān?  tì zhe cǎo tǔ zhōng.
 yōng bì shī zi bù,  xiū guǎng niú wáng mù,
 shēn guāng huáng jīn yán,  fāng yì fàn yīn shēng.
 chí shì shàng miào xiāng,  rù yú kǔ xíng lín,
 shì jiān hé báo fú,  shī sī shèng de zhǔ?
 miào wǎng róu ruǎn zú,  qīng jìng lián huā sè,
 tǔ shí cì jí lín,  yún hé ér kě dǎo?
 shēng zhǎng yú shēn gōng,  wēn yī xì ruǎn fú,
 mù yù yǐ xiāng tāng,  mò xiāng yǐ tú shēn.
 jīn zé zhì fēng lù,  hán shǔ ān kě kān?
 huá zú dà zhàng fū,  biāo tǐng shèng duō wén,
 dé bèi míng chēng gāo,  cháng shī wú suǒ qiú,
 yún hé hū yī cháo,  qǐ shí yǐ huó shēn?
 qīng jìng bǎo chuáng wò,  zòu lè yǐ jué mǐn,
 qǐ néng shān shù jiān,  cǎo tǔ yǐ jí shēn?”
 niàn zi xīn bēi tòng,  mèn jué ér bì de,
 shì rén fú lìng qǐ,  wèi shì qí mù lèi.
 qí yú zhū fū rén,  yōu kǔ sì tǐ chuí,
 nèi gǎn xīn cǎn jié,  bù dòng rú huà rén.
 shí yé shū tuó luó,  shēn zé chē nì yán:
“shēng wáng wǒ suǒ qīn,  jīn wèi zài hé suǒ?
 rén mǎ sān gòng xíng,  jīn wéi èr lái guī,
 wǒ xīn jí huáng bù,  zhàn lì bù zì ān.
 zhōng shì bù zhèng rén,  bù nì fēi shàn yǒu,
 bù jí zòng qiáng bào,  yīng xiào yòng tí wèi?
 jiāng qù ér tí hái,  fǎn fù bù xiāng yīng.
 ài niàn zì zài bàn,  suí yù zì xīn zuò,
 gù shǐ shèng wáng zi,  yī qù bù fù guī.
 rǔ jīn yīng dà xǐ,  zuò è yǐ guǒ chéng.
 níng jìn zhì huì yuàn,  bù xí yú chī yǒu,
 jiǎ míng wèi liáng péng,  nèi shí huái yuàn jié.
 jīn cǐ shèng wáng jiā,  yī dàn xī pò huài,
 cǐ zhū guì fū rén,  yōu cuì huǐ xíng hǎo,
 tì qì qì xī jué,  yǔ lèi héng liú xià.
 fū zhǔ shàng zài shì,  yī zhǐ rú xuě shān,
 ān yì rú dà de,  yōu bēi dài zhì sǐ,
 kuàng cǐ chuāng yǒu zhōng,  bēi qì zhǎng jiào zhě,
 shēng wáng qí suǒ tiān,  shì kǔ hé kě kān?
 gào mǎ rǔ wú yì,  duó rén xīn suǒ zhòng,
 yóu rú àn míng zhōng,  yuàn zéi jié zhēn bǎo.
 chéng rǔ zhàn dòu shí,  dāo rèn fēng lì jiàn,
 yī qiè xī néng kān,  jīn yǒu hé bù rěn?
 yī zú zhī shū shèng,  qiáng duó wǒ xīn qù,
 rǔ shì bì è chóng,  zào zhū bù zhèng yè.
 jīn rì dà wū hū!   shēng mǎn yú wáng gōng,
 xiān jié wǒ suǒ niàn,  ěr shí hé yǐ yǎ?
 ruò ěr shí yǒu shēng,  jǔ gōng xī yīng jué,
 ěr shí ruò jué zhě,  bù shēng jīn kǔ nǎo.”
 chē nì wén kǔ yán,  yǐn qì ér xī jié,
 shōu lèi hé zhǎng dá:   “yuàn tīng wǒ zì chén,
 mò xián zé bái mǎ,  yì mò huì yú wǒ.
 wǒ děng xī wú guò,  tiān shén zhī suǒ wèi,
 wǒ jí wèi wáng fǎ,  tiān shén suǒ qū bī.
 sù qiān mǎ yǔ zhī,  jù qù jí rú fēi,
 yàn qì lìng wú shēng,  zú yì bù chù de.
 chéng mén zì rán kāi,  xū kōng zì rán míng,
 sī jiē tiān shén lì,  qǐ shì wǒ suǒ wèi?”
 yé shū tuó wén shuō,  xīn shēng qí tè xiǎng,
 tiān shén zhī suǒ wèi,  fēi shì sī děng jiù.
 xián zé xīn xiāo chú,  chì rán dà kǔ xī,
 bì de chēng yuàn tàn:   “shuāng shū niǎo fēn guāi,
 wǒ jīn shī yī hù,  tóng fǎ xíng shēng lí,
 lè fǎ shě tóng xíng,  hé chù gèng qiú fǎ?
 gǔ xī zhū xiān shèng,  dà kuài jiàn wáng děng,
 sī jiē fū qī jù,  xué dào yóu lín yě.
 ér jīn shě yú wǒ,  wèi qiú hé děng fǎ?
 fàn zhì cí sì diǎn,  fū qī bì tóng xíng,
 tóng xíng fǎ wèi yīn,  zhōng zé tóng shòu bào,
 rǔ hé dú fǎ qiān,  qì wǒ ér zhī yóu?
 huò jiàn wǒ jí è,  gèng qiú wú jí zhě?
 huò dāng xián báo wǒ,  gèng qiú jìng tiān nǚ?
 wèi hé shèng dé sè,  xiū xí yú kǔ xíng?
 yǐ wǒ báo mìng gù,  fū qī shēng bié lí,
 luó hóu luó hé gù,  bù méng yú xī xià?
 wū hū bù jí shì!   mào róu ér xīn gāng,
 shèng zú shèng guāng róng,  yuàn zēng yóu zōng yǎng.
 yòu zi shēng wèi hái,  ér néng yǒng qì shě,
 wǒ yì wú xīn cháng,  fū qì yóu shān lín,
 bù néng zì mǐn méi,  cǐ zé mù shí rén.”
 yán yǐ xīn mí luàn,  huò kū huò kuáng yán,
 huò dèng shì chén sī,  gěng yàn bù zì shèng,
 chuò chuò qì dài jǐn,  wò yú chén tǔ zhōng.
 zhū yú cāi nǚ zhòng,  jiàn shēng bēi tòng xīn,
 yóu rú shèng lián huā,  fēng báo cuī lìng wēi.
 fù wáng shī tài zi,  zhòu yè xīn bēi liàn,
 zhāi jiè qiú tiān shén,  yuàn lìng zi sù hái.
 fā yuàn qí qǐng yǐ,  chū yú tiān cí mén,
 wén zhū tí kū shēng,  jīng bù xīn mí luàn,
 rú tiān dà léi zhèn,  qún xiàng luàn bēn chí.
 jiàn chē nì bái mǎ,  guǎng wèn zhī chū jiā,
 jǔ shēn tóu yú de,  rú bēng dì shì chuáng.
 zhū chén xú fú qǐ,  yǐ fǎ quàn lìng ān,
 jiǔ ér xīn xiǎo xǐng,  ér gào bái mǎ yán:
“wǒ shù chéng rǔ zhàn,  měi niàn rǔ yǒu gōng,
 jīn zhě zēng è rǔ,  bèi yú ài niàn shí.
 suǒ niàn gōng dé zi,  rǔ zhé yùn lìng qù,
 zhì zhe shān lín zhōng,  yóu zì kōng lái guī.
 rǔ sù chí wǒ wǎng,  bù ěr wǎng jiāng hái,
 bù wèi cǐ èr zhě,  wǒ mìng jiāng bù cún.
 gèng wú yú fāng zhì,  wéi dài zi wèi yào,
 rú shān dū fàn zhì,  wèi zi sǐ shā shēn,
 wǒ shī xíng fǎ zi,  zì shā lìng wú shēn.
 mó nóu zhòng shēng zhǔ,  yì dāng wèi zi yōu,
 kuàng fù wǒ cháng rén?  shī zi néng zì ān?
 gǔ xī ā dū wáng,  ài zi yóu shān lín,
 gǎn sī ér mìng zhōng,  jí shí dé shēng tiān.
 wú jīn bù néng sǐ,  zhǎng yè zhù yōu kǔ,
 hé gōng niàn wú zi,  xū kě rú è guǐ,
 rú rén kě tàn shuǐ,  yù yǐn ér duó zhī.
 shǒu kě ér mìng zhōng,  bì shēng è guǐ qù.
 jīn wǒ zhì xū kě,  dé zi shuǐ fù shī,
 jí wǒ wèi mìng zhōng,  sù yǔ wǒ zi chù,
 wù lìng wǒ kě sǐ,  duò yú è guǐ zhōng.
 wǒ sù zhì lì qiáng,  nán dòng rú dà de,
 shī zi xīn zào luàn,  rú xī shí chē wáng.”
 wáng shī duō wén shì,  dà chén zhì cōng dá,
 èr rén quàn jiàn wáng,  bù huǎn yì bù qiè:
“yuàn zì kuān qíng niàn,  wù yǐ yōu zì shāng,
 gǔ xī zhū shèng wáng,  qì guó rú sàn huā.
 zi jīn xíng xué dào,  hé zú kǔ yōu bēi?
 dāng yì ā sī jì,  lǐ shù zì yīng rán.
 tiān lè zhuǎn lún shèng,  xiāo rán bù lèi qīng,
 qǐ yuē shì jiè wáng,  néng yí jīn wáng xīn?
 jīn dāng shǐ wǒ děng,  tuī qiú dào qí suǒ,
 fāng biàn kǔ jiàn zhèng,  yǐ biǎo wǒ dān chéng,
 yào wàng jiàng qí zhì,  yǐ wèi wáng yōu bēi.”
 wáng xǐ jí dá yán:   “wéi rǔ děng sù xíng,
 rú shě jūn tuó niǎo,  wèi zi kōng zhōng xuán,
 wǒ jīn niàn tài zi,  biàn yuān xīn yì rán.”
 èr rén jì shòu mìng,  wáng yǔ zhū juàn shǔ,
 qí xīn xiǎo qīng liáng,  qì xuān cān yǐn tōng.

che ni qian ma hai, wang jue xin bei sai,
sui lu hao qi xing, bu neng zi kai ge.
xian yu tai zi ju, yi su zhi jing lu,
jin she tai zi hai, sheng duo tian yin gu.
pai huai xin gu lian, ba ri nai zhi cheng,
liang ma su ti jun, fen xun you wei xiang.
zhi zhu gu zhan yang, bu du tai zi xing,
liu lei si ti chui, qiao cui shi guang ze.
xuan zhuan tong bei ming, ri ye wang shui cao,
yi shi jiu shi zhu, hai gui jia pi luo.
guo tu xi kuo ran, ru ru kong ju luo,
ru ri yin xu mi, ju shi xi xun ming.
quan chi bu cheng qing, hua guo bu rong mao,
xiang lu zhu shi nu, you qi shi huan rong.
che ni yu bai ma, chang yang xing bu qian,
wen shi bu neng da, chi chi ruo shi xing.
zhong jian che ni hai, bu jian shi wang zi,
ju sheng da hao qi, ru qi luo mo hai.
you ren lai lu bang, qing shen wen che ni:
"wang zi shi suo ai, ju guo ren zhi ming.
ru zhe dao jiang qu, jin wei he suo zai?"
che ni yi bei xin, er da zhong ren yan:
"wo juan lian zhui zhu, bu she yu wang zi,
wang zi juan qi wo, bing she su wei yi,
ti tou bei fa fu, sui ru ku xing lin."
zhong ren wen chu jia, jing qi qi te xiang,
wu yan er ti qi, ti lei jiao liu xia,
ge ge xiang gao yu, wo deng zuo he ji?
zhong ren xian yi yan: "xi dang zhui sui qu,
ru ren ming gen huai, shen si xing shen li.
wang zi shi wo ming, shi ming wo qi sheng?
ci yi cheng qiu lin, bi lin cheng guo yi,
ci cheng shi wei de, ru sha pi li duo."
cheng nei zhu shi nu, xu chuan wang zi hai,
ben chi chu lu shang, wei jian ma kong gui,
mo zhi qi cun wang, bei qi zhong zhong sheng.
che ni bu qian ma, xu xi chui lei hai,
shi tai zi you bei, jia zeng bu ju xin,
ru zhan shi po di, zhi yuan song wang qian.
ru men lei yu xia, man mu wu suo jian,
yang tian da ti ku, bai ma yi bei ming,
gong zhong za niao shou, nei jiu zhu qun ma,
wen bai ma bei ming, zhang ming er ying zhi,
wei hu tai zi hai, bu jian er jue sheng.
hou gong zhu cai nu, wen ma niao shou ming,
luan fa mian wei huang, xing shou chun kou gan.
bi yi bu huan zhuo, gou hui bu yu shen,
xi she zhuang yan ju, hui cui bu xian ming.
ju ti wu guang yao, you ru xi xiao xing,
yi shang huai lan lu, zhuang ru bei zei xing.
jian che ni bai ma, ti qi jue wang gui,
gan jie er hao tao, you ru xin sang qin,
kuang luan er sao rao, ru niu shi qi dao.
da ai qu tan mi, wen tai zi bu hai,
song shen zi tou de, si ti xi shang huai,
you ru kuang feng cui, jin se ba jiao shu.
you wen zi chu jia, zhang tan zeng bei gan:
"you xuan xi ruan fa, yi kong yi fa sheng.
hei jing xian guang ze, ping zhu er sa de,
he yi he tian guan? ti zhe cao tu zhong.
yong bi shi zi bu, xiu guang niu wang mu,
shen guang huang jin yan, fang yi fan yin sheng.
chi shi shang miao xiang, ru yu ku xing lin,
shi jian he bao fu, shi si sheng de zhu?
miao wang rou ruan zu, qing jing lian hua se,
tu shi ci ji lin, yun he er ke dao?
sheng zhang yu shen gong, wen yi xi ruan fu,
mu yu yi xiang tang, mo xiang yi tu shen.
jin ze zhi feng lu, han shu an ke kan?
hua zu da zhang fu, biao ting sheng duo wen,
de bei ming cheng gao, chang shi wu suo qiu,
yun he hu yi chao, qi shi yi huo shen?
qing jing bao chuang wo, zou le yi jue min,
qi neng shan shu jian, cao tu yi ji shen?"
nian zi xin bei tong, men jue er bi de,
shi ren fu ling qi, wei shi qi mu lei.
qi yu zhu fu ren, you ku si ti chui,
nei gan xin can jie, bu dong ru hua ren.
shi ye shu tuo luo, shen ze che ni yan:
"sheng wang wo suo qin, jin wei zai he suo?
ren ma san gong xing, jin wei er lai gui,
wo xin ji huang bu, zhan li bu zi an.
zhong shi bu zheng ren, bu ni fei shan you,
bu ji zong qiang bao, ying xiao yong ti wei?
jiang qu er ti hai, fan fu bu xiang ying.
ai nian zi zai ban, sui yu zi xin zuo,
gu shi sheng wang zi, yi qu bu fu gui.
ru jin ying da xi, zuo e yi guo cheng.
ning jin zhi hui yuan, bu xi yu chi you,
jia ming wei liang peng, nei shi huai yuan jie.
jin ci sheng wang jia, yi dan xi po huai,
ci zhu gui fu ren, you cui hui xing hao,
ti qi qi xi jue, yu lei heng liu xia.
fu zhu shang zai shi, yi zhi ru xue shan,
an yi ru da de, you bei dai zhi si,
kuang ci chuang you zhong, bei qi zhang jiao zhe,
sheng wang qi suo tian, shi ku he ke kan?
gao ma ru wu yi, duo ren xin suo zhong,
you ru an ming zhong, yuan zei jie zhen bao.
cheng ru zhan dou shi, dao ren feng li jian,
yi qie xi neng kan, jin you he bu ren?
yi zu zhi shu sheng, qiang duo wo xin qu,
ru shi bi e chong, zao zhu bu zheng ye.
jin ri da wu hu! sheng man yu wang gong,
xian jie wo suo nian, er shi he yi ya?
ruo er shi you sheng, ju gong xi ying jue,
er shi ruo jue zhe, bu sheng jin ku nao."
che ni wen ku yan, yin qi er xi jie,
shou lei he zhang da: "yuan ting wo zi chen,
mo xian ze bai ma, yi mo hui yu wo.
wo deng xi wu guo, tian shen zhi suo wei,
wo ji wei wang fa, tian shen suo qu bi.
su qian ma yu zhi, ju qu ji ru fei,
yan qi ling wu sheng, zu yi bu chu de.
cheng men zi ran kai, xu kong zi ran ming,
si jie tian shen li, qi shi wo suo wei?"
ye shu tuo wen shuo, xin sheng qi te xiang,
tian shen zhi suo wei, fei shi si deng jiu.
xian ze xin xiao chu, chi ran da ku xi,
bi de cheng yuan tan: "shuang shu niao fen guai,
wo jin shi yi hu, tong fa xing sheng li,
le fa she tong xing, he chu geng qiu fa?
gu xi zhu xian sheng, da kuai jian wang deng,
si jie fu qi ju, xue dao you lin ye.
er jin she yu wo, wei qiu he deng fa?
fan zhi ci si dian, fu qi bi tong xing,
tong xing fa wei yin, zhong ze tong shou bao,
ru he du fa qian, qi wo er zhi you?
huo jian wo ji e, geng qiu wu ji zhe?
huo dang xian bao wo, geng qiu jing tian nu?
wei he sheng de se, xiu xi yu ku xing?
yi wo bao ming gu, fu qi sheng bie li,
luo hou luo he gu, bu meng yu xi xia?
wu hu bu ji shi! mao rou er xin gang,
sheng zu sheng guang rong, yuan zeng you zong yang.
you zi sheng wei hai, er neng yong qi she,
wo yi wu xin chang, fu qi you shan lin,
bu neng zi min mei, ci ze mu shi ren."
yan yi xin mi luan, huo ku huo kuang yan,
huo deng shi chen si, geng yan bu zi sheng,
chuo chuo qi dai jin, wo yu chen tu zhong.
zhu yu cai nu zhong, jian sheng bei tong xin,
you ru sheng lian hua, feng bao cui ling wei.
fu wang shi tai zi, zhou ye xin bei lian,
zhai jie qiu tian shen, yuan ling zi su hai.
fa yuan qi qing yi, chu yu tian ci men,
wen zhu ti ku sheng, jing bu xin mi luan,
ru tian da lei zhen, qun xiang luan ben chi.
jian che ni bai ma, guang wen zhi chu jia,
ju shen tou yu de, ru beng di shi chuang.
zhu chen xu fu qi, yi fa quan ling an,
jiu er xin xiao xing, er gao bai ma yan:
"wo shu cheng ru zhan, mei nian ru you gong,
jin zhe zeng e ru, bei yu ai nian shi.
suo nian gong de zi, ru zhe yun ling qu,
zhi zhe shan lin zhong, you zi kong lai gui.
ru su chi wo wang, bu er wang jiang hai,
bu wei ci er zhe, wo ming jiang bu cun.
geng wu yu fang zhi, wei dai zi wei yao,
ru shan du fan zhi, wei zi si sha shen,
wo shi xing fa zi, zi sha ling wu shen.
mo nou zhong sheng zhu, yi dang wei zi you,
kuang fu wo chang ren? shi zi neng zi an?
gu xi a du wang, ai zi you shan lin,
gan si er ming zhong, ji shi de sheng tian.
wu jin bu neng si, zhang ye zhu you ku,
he gong nian wu zi, xu ke ru e gui,
ru ren ke tan shui, yu yin er duo zhi.
shou ke er ming zhong, bi sheng e gui qu.
jin wo zhi xu ke, de zi shui fu shi,
ji wo wei ming zhong, su yu wo zi chu,
wu ling wo ke si, duo yu e gui zhong.
wo su zhi li qiang, nan dong ru da de,
shi zi xin zao luan, ru xi shi che wang."
wang shi duo wen shi, da chen zhi cong da,
er ren quan jian wang, bu huan yi bu qie:
"yuan zi kuan qing nian, wu yi you zi shang,
gu xi zhu sheng wang, qi guo ru san hua.
zi jin xing xue dao, he zu ku you bei?
dang yi a si ji, li shu zi ying ran.
tian le zhuan lun sheng, xiao ran bu lei qing,
qi yue shi jie wang, neng yi jin wang xin?
jin dang shi wo deng, tui qiu dao qi suo,
fang bian ku jian zheng, yi biao wo dan cheng,
yao wang jiang qi zhi, yi wei wang you bei."
wang xi ji da yan: "wei ru deng su xing,
ru she jun tuo niao, wei zi kong zhong xuan,
wo jin nian tai zi, bian yuan xin yi ran."
er ren ji shou ming, wang yu zhu juan shu,
qi xin xiao qing liang, qi xuan can yin tong.
