[0358b06] Seeking that 真實 [zhen shi] (truth) without cultivation is attainable, the most supreme 顛倒 [dian dao] (inversion) brings about disaster. Good causes are without 憍慢 [jiao man] (arrogance), and the 情深 [qing shen] (deep emotions) are without 我 [wo] (self), far removed. In this 伽藍 [jia lan] (monastery), it is 寂靜 [ji jing] (tranquil) and unbound. Though 布施 [bu shi] (generosity) is abundant, there is no 諍訟 [zheng song] (dispute) at all. Where 有情 [you qing] (sentient beings) dwell, it is vast and pure. 聲聞 [sheng wen] (Śrāvakas) move about, while the 大乘 [da cheng] (Mahāyāna) is firmly established. Their 天 [tian] (heaven) is like space, 智慧 [zhi hui] (wisdom) is supreme, secrets are profound, and their 因行 [yin xing] (causal practice) is unwavering. Knowing the 邊際 [bian ji] (limits), their power is endless. Space is devoid of nature, accommodating all things. 貪愛 [tan ai] (greed and craving) and 顛倒 [dian dao] (inversion) shift in nature, and they increase again, listening to 誠實 [cheng shi] (truthfulness). The 國王 [guo wang] (king) bestows 惠施 [hui shi] (benevolence), purifying and upholding cultivation. Their 珍寶 [zhen bao] (treasures) are boundless, pure, and unfailing. 真實 [zhen shi] (true) disputes are peacefully nonexistent. Listening and upholding are superior causes, practicing 行施 [xing shi] (generosity) is pure. The 王者 [wang zhe] (ruler) knows what is 相應 [xiang ying] (appropriate) and 善妙 [shan miao] (excellent). Their 王國界 [wang guo jie] (kingdom) is 平等 [ping deng] (equal) and 安靜 [an jing] (peaceful). The 慈母 [ci mu] (compassionate mother) is happy and supreme. The 菩薩 [pu sa] (Bodhisattva) in this place cultivates without 相 [xiang] (form), practicing 行施 [xing shi] (generosity) in this way, seeking 殊勝事 [shu sheng shi] (extraordinary things) without reduction. The meaning of 如來 [ru lai] (Tathāgata) nature is self-sought and unbound. The 王者 [wang zhe] (ruler) relies on stillness and rest. The 邊方 [bian fang] (border regions) show an increase in 教法 [jiao fa] (teachings), stopping disasters, defilements, entanglements, and the limits of 諍訟 [zheng song] (dispute). Immeasurable 諸魔 [zhu mo] (demons) cannot destroy them. 平等了知 [ping deng le zhi] (Equally understanding) gathers as the meaning. Increased 病難 [bing nan] (illness and difficulty) and self-sought disaster. Following 貪欲 [tan yu] (greed) without knowing cause and effect. Having their own power without knowing the 血脈 [xue mai] (lineage). The 三毒 [san du] (three poisons) quarrel again, and 自在 [zi zai] (self-mastery) is defiled. Not knowing the endless changes and 顛倒 [dian dao] (inversions). Right principle and cause are without the fear of 顛倒 [dian dao] (inversion). Equal reliance on the 慢法 [man fa] (laws of arrogance) is far removed. Convenient 布施 [bu shi] (generosity) is free from afflictions. 自在 [zi zai] (self-mastery) and 放逸 [fang yi] (negligence) are 寂靜 [ji jing] (tranquil) and at rest. The 增上教法 [zeng shang jiao fa] (superior teaching) is a place of happiness. 暗鈍 [an dun] (dullness) and 我慢 [wo man] (self-arrogance) are known to be unbeneficial. The 根本 [gen ben] (root) is 如如 [ru ru] (suchness), and the 法性 [fa xing] (Dharma nature) is endless. Accomplishing 實性 [shi xing] (true nature), seeking its 邊際 [bian ji] (limits). In this place, there is no 實 [shi] (reality), only 放逸 [fang yi] (negligence) and 我慢 [wo man] (self-arrogance). Understanding the 教誨 [jiao hui] (teachings), diligently seeking 布施 [bu shi] (generosity). 真實諸行 [zhen shi zhu xing] (True practices), 三種鈍弱 [san zhong dun ruo] (three kinds of dullness) are purely removed. Obtaining 相貌 [xiang mao] (auspicious signs), their 舍宅 [she zhai] (dwelling) is 安靜 [an jing] (peaceful). 群生 [qun sheng] (all beings) are at rest, not losing their 因行 [yin xing] (causal practice). Pure cultivation removes 顛倒 [dian dao] (inversion).

[0358b06] 求彼真實無修可得,最上顛倒成就災禍,善因無有憍慢情深,無我遠離。是處伽藍寂靜無縛,布施雖多全無諍訟,有情所居廣大清淨,聲聞動轉大乘安固,彼天如空智慧最勝,祕密甚深因行無倒,了知邊際力用無盡,虛空無性隨順容物,貪愛顛倒自性遷移,彼彼復增聽聞誠實。國王惠施清淨崇修,珍寶無邊淨妙無倒,真實諍訟安靜無有,聞持勝因行施清淨。王者了知相應善妙,彼王國界平等安靜,慈母快樂相應最上,菩薩是處無相修作,如是行施求殊勝事復無損減。如來性義自求無縛,王者依附不動止息,邊方相狀增上教法,止息災禍垢染纏蓋諍訟邊際,無量諸魔不能破壞。平等了知攝集為義,增上病難自求災禍,隨順貪欲不知因果,自有力用不知血脈,三毒復諍自在垢穢,不知遷變顛倒無盡。正理因緣無顛倒怖,齊等依處慢法遠離,方便布施煩惱無有,自在放逸寂靜止息,增上教法快樂之處,暗鈍我慢了知無益,根本如如法性無盡,成就實性求彼邊際,是處無實放逸我慢。了知教誨善求布施,真實諸行三種鈍弱清淨遠離,獲得相貌舍宅安靜,群生止息不失因行,清淨修作顛倒遠離。

[0358b29] How to cultivate and remove disasters? Understanding this 無倒 [wu dao] (non-inverted) dwelling, perfectly possessing 因行 [yin xing] (causal practices), realizing 如實 [ru shi] (suchness). The 根本相貌 [gen ben xiang mao] (fundamental characteristics) seeking the 邊際 [bian ji] (limits). The 菩提薩埵 [pu ti sa duo] (Bodhisattva) speaks these words. The 國王制度 [guo wang zhi du] (royal system) is vast and 真實 [zhen shi] (true), subduing 邊方 [bian fang] (border regions) is supreme. Removing 病難 [bing nan] (illness and difficulty), providing 布施 [bu shi] (generosity) for 飢渴 [ji ke] (hunger and thirst). Seeing those words, 善靜 [shan jing] (good and tranquil) and far removed. Reducing 垢染 [gou ran] (defilements) and places of 繫縛 [xi fu] (bondage). Powerful 聖賢 [sheng xian] (sages and worthies) abandon 慢類 [man lei] (types of arrogance). The 邊際力用 [bian ji li yong] (ultimate power and function) is pure 布施 [bu shi] (generosity). They are pure and without 飢渴 [ji ke] (hunger and thirst). This 因方所 [yin fang suo] (place of causality) is cultivated ceaselessly. 真實布施 [zhen shi bu shi] (True generosity) increases 飢渴 [ji ke] (hunger and thirst). Escaping 顛倒 [dian dao] (inversion) gives rise to words. Pure cultivation and systems are endless. Loving 寂靜 [ji jing] (tranquility), the 十善 [shi shan] (ten virtues) arise. In such a shifting and pure place, 自在 [zi zai] (self-mastery) is complete, seeking 誠諦 [cheng di] (truthfulness). Conveniently cultivating 有情施因 [you qing shi yin] (causes of sentient beings' generosity).

{9} How Sentient Beings Attain Self-Mastery and Hear the Dharma

[0358b29] 云何修習災禍除遣?了知如是無倒安住,具足因行覺了如實,根本相貌希求邊際,菩提薩埵發生是言。國王制度廣大真實,調伏邊方施設為上,遠離病難布施飢渴。見彼語言善靜遠離,損減垢染繫縛處所,有力聖賢慢類捨離,邊際力用清淨布施。彼等善淨飢渴無有,此因方所無時不修,真實布施增上飢渴,出離顛倒發生語言。清淨修崇制度無盡,愛樂寂靜十善發生,如此遷變淨妙之處,自在具足希求誠諦,方便修崇有情施因。

[0358c10] How do 有情 [you qing] (sentient beings) attain 自在 [zi zai] (self-mastery) and 聞持 [wen chi] (hear and uphold)? The 王者 [wang zhe] (ruler) fully possesses vast and supreme causes, understanding the 教行 [jiao xing] (teachings and practices). Such a nature is 無縛真實 [wu fu zhen shi] (unbound truth). Conveniently increasing knowledge without 諍 [zheng] (dispute). A perfect one 由旬 [you xun] (yojana) of supreme cultivation, surely obtaining pure causes and pure 真實 [zhen shi] (truth). The 邊際 [bian ji] (limits) are 寂靜 [ji jing] (tranquil), warm, and clear. A 善妙勝因 [shan miao sheng yin] (excellent and superior cause) is the place of creation. Boundless 真實 [zhen shi] (truth) with lovely 相貌 [xiang mao] (forms). 自在 [zi zai] (self-mastery) and 殊勝 [shu sheng] (excellence) are far removed from 自性 [zi xing] (self-nature). The 第六意識 [di liu yi shi] (sixth consciousness) is far removed from defilement and evil. Excellent words seek 布施 [bu shi] (generosity). The 根本勝因 [gen ben sheng yin] (fundamental superior cause)'s nature is 無倒 [wu dao] (non-inverted). How can its ultimate 邊際 [bian ji] (limits) be 無性 [wu xing] (non-existent)? Damaging 真實 [zhen shi] (truth), good deeds do not arise. Seeking the 聖道 [sheng dao] (holy path), right principle is fundamentally 寂 [ji] (tranquil).

[0358c10] 云何有情自在聞持?王者具足廣大殊勝因了知教行,如是自性無縛真實,方便增上了知無諍,圓一由旬修崇勝概,必獲淨因淨妙真實,邊際寂靜溫潤澄瑩,善妙勝因造作處所,無邊真實相貌可愛,自在殊勝自性遠離。是處王者能濟飢渴,聖言誨譽誠諦時分,盡除災禍不壞相貌,了知界性欲樂邊際,有力遷移勝妙因行,布施相狀最上無倒,不壞修崇災難遠離,語言無諍荷負廣大,果報寂靜勝義修作。如是語言飢渴之因清淨止息,正理施為發生教導,帝釋天主語言誠實。如是十善究竟勝因,第六意識染惡遠離,上妙語言希求布施,根本勝因體性無倒,彼實邊際云何無性,損壞真實善法不生,趣求聖道正理本寂。
