The name of the Tripiṭaka Master is missing and is now attached to the Qin (秦 [qin]) records.

"Good man! At that time, the great assembly of Devas (天 [tian]), Gandharvas (乾闥婆 [gan ta po]), and people of the world (世人 [shi ren]) prostrated themselves before the Brāhmaṇa's (婆羅門 [po luo men]) feet, clasped their hands, and praised him with various verses of profound meaning. Good man! At that time, the Brāhmaṇa Hải Jì (海濟婆羅門 [hai ji po luo men]), knelt on his right knee before the Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]). Immediately, the great earth quaked all around, and countless Buddha-fields (佛剎微塵數佛土 [fu sha wei chen shu fu tu]) in the ten directions were intensely shaken. Mountains (岠峨 [ju e]) rose and sank (踊沒 [yong mei]), and everything swayed violently. Furthermore, a great light appeared, and various flowers rained down, such as Maṇḍārava (曼陀羅 [man tuo luo]) and Mahāmaṇḍārava (摩訶曼陀羅 [mo he man tuo luo]), and even immeasurable light (無量光 [wu liang guang]), descending as such flower rains. In countless Buddha-fields (佛土微塵數世界 [fu tu wei chen shu shi jie]) in the ten directions, all the Buddhas (諸佛世尊 [zhu fu shi zun]) who were currently residing in pure Buddha-lands (淨佛剎中 [jing fu sha zhong]) and impure lands (不淨剎 [bu jing sha]) teaching the Dharma (說法 [shuo fa]) to sentient beings (眾生 [zhong sheng]), and those Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]) who were sitting and listening to the Dharma taught by those Buddhas (諸佛所坐聽法者 [zhu fu suo zuo ting fa zhe]), those Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (彼諸菩薩摩訶薩 [bi zhu pu sa mo he sa]) saw the great earthquake and the great flower rain. This caused those Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (彼諸菩薩摩訶薩 [bi zhu pu sa mo he sa]) to ask those Buddhas (彼諸佛 [bi zhu fu]): 'World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun])! For what reason and what cause did the world (世 [shi]) greatly quake and the heavenly flowers (天華 [tian hua]) rain down?'

[0272c02] "At that time, in the East, beyond one Ganges River's (恒河沙數 [heng he sha shu]) worth of Buddha-fields (佛剎 [fu sha]) from this Buddha-land (佛土 [fu tu]), there was a world named Bǎojí (寶集 [bao ji]). The Buddha (佛 [fu]) there was called Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]), Arhat (應供 [ying gong]), Samyak-saṃbuddha (正遍知 [zheng bian zhi]), and so on, down to Buddha (佛 [fu]), World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]). He was currently residing there, surrounded by immeasurable asamkhyeya (無量阿僧祇 [wu liang a seng qi]) Bodhisattvas (諸菩薩眾 [zhu pu sa zhong]), expounding the Dharma (演法 [yan fa]), purely teaching the Mahāyāna (大乘 [da cheng]). In that Buddha-land (佛國 [fu guo]), there were two Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]): one named Bǎoshèng (寶勝 [bao sheng]), and the other named Yuèshèng (月勝 [yue sheng]). These two Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (彼二菩薩摩訶薩 [bi er pu sa mo he sa]) clasped their hands towards Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]) and said to Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]): 'World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun])! For what reason and what cause did the world (世 [shi]) greatly quake and the great flower rain (大華雨 [da hua yu]) descend?' Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]) said to the good man: 'In the West, beyond one Ganges River's (恒河沙數 [heng he sha shu]) worth of worlds (世界 [shi jie]) from this Buddha-land (佛土 [fu tu]), there is a Buddha-land (佛土 [fu tu]) named Nàitílán (耐提蘭 [nai ti lan]). The Buddha (佛 [fu]) there is called Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]), and so on, down to Buddha (佛 [fu]), World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]). He is currently residing there, giving predictions of Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提記 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti ji]) to many kotis (多億 [duo yi]) of Bodhisattvas (菩薩 [pu sa]), explaining the Bodhisattva-realm (菩薩境界 [pu sa jing jie]), manifesting the realm of Vows and Adornments of Buddha-lands (剎願莊嚴三昧境界 [sha yuan zhuang yan san mei jing jie]), and the fearless Dharma (無難法 [wu nan fa]) of Dhāraṇī-gates (陀羅尼門 [tuo luo ni men]). There is one great compassionate Bodhisattva-mahāsattva (一大悲菩薩摩訶薩 [yi da bei pu sa mo he sa]) who has made such a vow to fully explain great compassion (大悲 [da bei]), to give predictions of Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提記 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti ji]) to Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]), to manifest such a Vow-eye (願眼 [yuan yan]), to enable many kotis (多億 [duo yi]) of sentient beings (眾生 [zhong sheng]) to make the Bodhisattva-vow (菩薩願 [pu sa yuan]), and to take the adornment of Buddha-lands (莊嚴佛土 [zhuang yan fu tu]) to save and liberate sentient beings (攝度眾生 [she du zhong sheng]). Among all of them, this great Bodhisattva (大菩薩 [da pu sa]) possesses great compassion (大悲 [da bei]). None of the great assembly (彼諸大眾 [bi zhu da zhong]) can surpass him. He is able to take the evil lands (惡土 [e tu]) of the five defilements (五濁亂結 [wu zhuo luan jie]) where beings commit uninterrupted karmas (無間 [wu jian]), and even those whose minds and intentions (心意 [xin yi]) are burnt and withered (燋枯 [jiao ku]) due to accumulating unwholesome roots (不善根 [bu shan gen]), and save and liberate them (攝度之 [she du zhi]). That great assembly (彼諸大眾 [bi zhu da zhong]) of Devas (天 [tian]), Nāgas (龍 [long]), Gandharvas (乾闥婆 [gan ta po]), Asuras (阿修羅 [a xiu luo]), and people of the world (世人 [shi ren]), after making offerings to Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]), all offered to the ultimately great compassionate one (最後大悲 [zui hou da bei]), prostrated themselves, clasped their hands, and praised him with excellent verses. That Mahāsattva (摩訶薩 [mo he sa]) was sitting before the Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]) and listening to the prediction. As that Mahāsattva (摩訶薩 [mo he sa]) knelt on his right knee before the Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]), the Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]) smiled immediately, causing countless Buddha-fields (佛剎微塵數世界 [fu sha wei chen shu shi jie]) in the ten directions to be greatly shaken, and a great flower rain (大華雨 [da hua yu]) to descend. This was to awaken all Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (一切菩薩摩訶薩 [yi qie pu sa mo he sa]) in those Buddha-lands (彼剎 [bi sha]), to manifest the Vows and Practices of the great compassionate Bodhisattva (大悲菩薩願行 [da bei pu sa yuan xing]), to gather Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]) from countless Buddha-fields (佛剎微塵數世界 [fu sha wei chen shu shi jie]) in the ten directions, and to explain the fearless Dharma-gate (無畏法門 [wu wei fa men]) of Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas' (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]) vows and practices (誓願行 [shi yuan xing]). Therefore, that Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]) manifested such divine powers (神通 [shen tong]).'

[0272c29] "Good man! Those two Bodhisattvas (彼二菩薩 [bi er pu sa]) asked Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]): 'World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun])! How long ago did that great compassionate Bodhisattva-mahāsattva (彼大悲菩薩摩訶薩 [bi da bei pu sa mo he sa]) first arouse the mind of Bodhi (發心 [fa xin])? How long has that Mahāsattva (摩訶薩 [mo he sa]) been practicing the Bodhisattva-practice (修菩薩行 [xiu pu sa xing])? How is he able to save and liberate those who commit uninterrupted karmas (無間業 [wu jian ye]) in the chaotic world (亂世 [luan shi]) of the five defilements (五濁重結 [wu zhuo zhong jie]), and even those whose minds and intentions (心意 [xin yi]) are burnt and withered (燋枯 [jiao ku]) due to accumulating unwholesome roots (不善根 [bu shan gen])?' Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]) said: 'Good man! That great compassionate one (彼大悲 [bi da bei]) has just begun to arouse the mind of Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti xin]). Good man! You all should go to the Buddha-land of Nàitílán (耐提蘭佛剎 [nai ti lan fu sha]) to respectfully behold and draw near to Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]), Arhat (應供 [ying gong]), Samyak-saṃbuddha (正遍知 [zheng bian zhi]), and listen to the fearless Dharma-gate (無畏法門 [wu wei fa men]) of vows and practices (誓願行 [shi yuan xing]). Also, convey my words and inquire of that great compassionate Bodhisattva-mahāsattva (彼大悲菩薩摩訶薩 [bi da bei pu sa mo he sa]) with my words: "Good man! Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]) inquires of you and sends you this undefiled flower (無垢華 [wu gou hua]) of moonlight joy (月樂 [yue le]) as a token of trust." And he says: "Excellent! Good man! You have just begun to arouse your mind, and your great compassionate voice (大悲音聲 [da bei yin sheng]) fills countless Buddha-fields (佛剎微塵數餘世界中 [fu sha wei chen shu yu shi jie zhong]) in the ten directions, earning you the name 'great compassionate one' (大悲名 [da bei ming]). Therefore, it is excellent for you. Furthermore, good man! You are establishing the banner of the Vow-eye (願眼幢 [yuan yan chuang]) of the great compassionate voice (大悲音 [da bei yin]) for future Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (具大悲菩薩摩訶薩 [ju da bei pu sa mo he sa]). Therefore, it is excellent for you. Furthermore, good man! In future asamkhyeya kalpas (阿僧祇劫 [a seng qi jie]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-lands (佛土微塵數 [fu tu wei chen shu]), your name will spread throughout countless Buddha-fields (佛土微塵數世界 [fu tu wei chen shu shi jie]) in the ten directions. Moreover, you are encouraging many kotis (多億 [duo yi]), nayutas (那由他 [na you ta]), hundreds and thousands of sentient beings (百千眾生 [bai qian zhong sheng]) to dwell in Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti]) and bringing them to the Buddha (佛所 [fu suo]) to reside in non-retrogression (不退轉 [bu tui zhuan]) from Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti]). Among them, some vow to take the adornment of Buddha-lands (佛土莊嚴 [fu tu zhuang yan]) and save and liberate sentient beings (攝度 [she du]), and some will receive predictions (授記 [shou ji]). These are the Bodhisattvas (菩提者 [pu ti zhe]) you have encouraged. All of them, in the future, even in asamkhyeya kalpas (阿僧祇劫 [a seng qi jie]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-lands (佛土微塵數 [fu tu wei chen shu]), in countless other worlds (十方餘世界中 [shi fang yu shi jie zhong]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-fields (佛剎微塵數 [fu sha wei chen shu]), will attain Bodhi (菩提 [pu ti]) and turn the Dharma-wheel (轉正法輪 [zhuan zheng fa lun]) and will be praised and extolled. Good man! Because of these three matters, it is excellent for you."'

Like a flash of lightning (電頃 [dian qing]), those Bodhisattva-assemblies (彼菩薩眾 [bi pu sa zhong]) suddenly disappeared from the world of Bǎojí (寶集世界 [bao ji shi jie]) and arrived at the Jambūlavaṇa (閻婆羅園 [yan po luo yuan]) in this Buddha-land of Nàitílán (耐提蘭佛土 [nai ti lan fu tu]). Upon arriving at Tathāgata Bǎozàng's (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]) place, they sincerely prostrated their heads to Tathāgata Bǎozàng's (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]) feet and made offerings with various Bodhisattva-divine-powers (菩薩神通 [pu sa shen tong]). They saw the Brāhmaṇa (婆羅門 [po luo men]) before Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]), and the entire great assembly (一切大眾 [yi qie da zhong]) standing with clasped hands, praising and extolling him. Those Bodhisattvas (彼諸菩薩 [bi zhu pu sa]) had this thought: 'This is the one who possesses great compassion (具大悲者 [ju da bei zhe]) to whom Tathāgata Bǎoyuè (寶月如來 [bao yue ru lai]) gave this undefiled flower (無垢華 [wu gou hua]) of moonlight joy (月樂 [yue le]).' He is currently residing there teaching the Dharma (說法 [shuo fa]), giving predictions of Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提記 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti ji]) to many kotis (多億 [duo yi]) of sentient beings (眾生 [zhong sheng]), explaining the Bodhisattva-realm (菩薩境界 [pu sa jing jie]), manifesting the realm of Vows of Buddha-lands (剎願境界 [sha yuan jing jie]), the realm of Samādhi-adornments (莊嚴三昧境界 [zhuang yan san mei jing jie]), and the fearless Dharma (無難法 [wu nan fa]) of Dhāraṇī-gates (陀羅尼門 [tuo luo ni men]). Among the assembly, there is one great compassionate Bodhisattva-mahāsattva (一大悲菩薩摩訶薩 [yi da bei pu sa mo he sa]) who has made such a vow to fully explain the practice of great compassion (大悲行 [da bei xing]), and to give predictions of Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提記 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti ji]) to Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]). He manifests such a Vow-eye (願眼 [yuan yan]) to enable many kotis (多億 [duo yi]) of Bodhisattvas (菩薩 [pu sa]) to make vows to take the adornment of Buddha-lands (佛土莊嚴 [fu tu zhuang yan]) and save and liberate sentient beings (攝度眾生 [she du zhong sheng]). That great compassionate Bodhisattva (具大悲菩薩 [ju da bei pu sa]) is unsurpassed among all beings. He takes the evil world (惡世 [e shi]) of the five defilements (五濁亂結 [wu zhuo luan jie]) where beings commit uninterrupted karmas (無間業 [wu jian ye]), and even those whose minds and intentions (心意 [xin yi]) are burnt and withered (燋枯 [jiao ku]) due to accumulating unwholesome roots (不善根 [bu shan gen]), and saves and liberates them (攝度之 [she du zhi]). All of them, the great assembly (一切大眾 [yi qie da zhong]), Devas (天 [tian]), Nāgas (龍 [long]), Gandharvas (乾闥婆 [gan ta po]), Asuras (阿修羅 [a xiu luo]), and people of the world (世人 [shi ren]), abandoning offerings to Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]), all make offerings to that great compassionate one (彼大悲 [bi da bei]). After prostrating themselves, they stand with clasped hands, praising and extolling that Mahāsattva (摩訶薩 [mo he sa]) who is sitting before Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]) and listening to the prediction. As that Mahāsattva (摩訶薩 [mo he sa]) knelt on his right knee before the Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]), the World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]) immediately manifested a smile, causing the great earth (大地 [da de]) in countless Buddha-fields (佛土微塵數世界 [fu tu wei chen shu shi jie]) in the ten directions to quake in six ways, and a great flower rain (大華雨 [da hua yu]) to descend. This was to awaken Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]) in those Buddha-lands (諸佛土中 [zhu fu tu zhong]), to manifest the Vows and Practices of the great compassionate Bodhisattva (大悲菩薩願行 [da bei pu sa yuan xing]), to gather Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]) from countless other worlds (餘世界中 [yu shi jie zhong]) in the ten directions, and to explain the fearless Dharma-gate (無畏法 [wu wei fa]) of Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas' (菩薩摩訶薩 [pu sa mo he sa]) vows and practices (誓願行門 [shi yuan xing men]). Therefore, that Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]) manifested such divine powers (神通 [shen tong]).'

Those two Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (彼二菩薩摩訶薩 [bi er pu sa mo he sa]), Zì Zhí Jìng Jiè Wú Nù (自執境界無怒 [zi zhi jing jie wu nu]) and Yuè Chí Wú Nù (悅持無怒 [yue chi wu nu]), asked that Tathāgata Huā Fū Zhào Míng (華敷照明如來 [hua fu zhao ming ru lai]): 'World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun])! How long ago did that great compassionate Bodhisattva-mahāsattva (彼大悲菩薩摩訶薩 [bi da bei pu sa mo he sa]) arouse the Bodhi-mind (菩提心 [pu ti xin])? How long has that great compassionate Bodhisattva (彼大悲菩薩 [bi da bei pu sa]) been practicing the Bodhisattva-practice (菩薩行 [pu sa xing])? How is he able to save and liberate those who commit uninterrupted karmas (無間者 [wu jian zhe]) in the evil world (惡世 [e shi]) of the five defilements (五濁 [wu zhuo]) with heavy attachments (重時 [zhong shi]) and chaos (亂結 [luan jie]), and even those whose minds and intentions (心意 [xin yi]) are burnt and withered (燋枯 [jiao ku]) due to accumulating unwholesome roots (不善根 [bu shan gen])?' Tathāgata Huā Fū Zhào Míng (華敷照明如來 [hua fu zhao ming ru lai]) said: 'Good man! That great compassionate one (彼大悲 [bi da bei]) has just begun to arouse the mind of Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提心 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti xin]). Good man! You all should go to the world of Nàitílán (耐提蘭世界 [nai ti lan shi jie]) to respectfully behold and draw near to Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]), Arhat (應供 [ying gong]), Samyak-saṃbuddha (正遍知 [zheng bian zhi]), and listen to the fearless Dharma-gate (無畏法 [wu wei fa]) of vows and practices (誓願行門 [shi yuan xing men]). Convey my words and inquire of that great compassionate Bodhisattva-mahāsattva (彼具大悲菩薩摩訶薩 [bi ju da bei pu sa mo he sa]), saying: "Good man! Tathāgata Huā Fū Zhào Míng (華敷照明如來 [hua fu zhao ming ru lai]) inquires of you and sends this undefiled flower (無垢華 [wu gou hua]) of moonlight joy (月樂 [yue le]) as a token of trust, and also says 'excellent' to you. Good man! Your great compassionate renown (大悲名聲 [da bei ming sheng]) has spread because you have just begun to arouse your mind, and you have gained the name 'great compassionate one' (大悲名 [da bei ming]) in countless other worlds (餘世界中 [yu shi jie zhong]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-fields (佛土微塵數 [fu tu wei chen shu]) in the ten directions. Therefore, good man! I praise you, excellent! Furthermore, good man! You are able to establish the banner of the Vow-eye (願眼幢 [yuan yan chuang]) with the mind of great compassion (大悲之意 [da bei zhi yi]) for future Bodhisattvas-mahāsattvas (具大悲求菩薩摩訶薩 [ju da bei qiu pu sa mo he sa]). Therefore, good man! I praise you, excellent! Furthermore, good man! In future asamkhyeya kalpas (阿僧祇劫 [a seng qi jie]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-lands (佛土微塵數 [fu tu wei chen shu]), your name will spread throughout countless other worlds (餘世界中 [yu shi jie zhong]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-fields (佛土微塵數 [fu tu wei chen shu]) in the ten directions. Moreover, good man! You are encouraging countless asamkhyeya (多阿僧祇 [duo a seng qi]) kotis (億 [yi]), nayutas (那由他 [na you ta]), hundreds and thousands of sentient beings (百千眾生 [bai qian zhong sheng]) to dwell in Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti]). You will bring them to the World-Honored One (世尊所 [shi zun suo]) to attain non-retrogression (不退轉 [bu tui zhuan]) from Anuttara-samyak-saṃbodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti]). Among them, some, from the World-Honored One (世尊所 [shi zun suo]), vow to take the adornment of Buddha-lands (莊嚴佛土 [zhuang yan fu tu]) and, with the light of great compassion (大悲光 [da bei guang]), pervade and save and liberate sentient beings (攝取之 [she qu zhi]), these are the beings you have transformed to Bodhi (阿耨多羅三藐三菩提 [a nou duo luo san miao san pu ti]). As for those sentient beings who have not yet received predictions (未得授記者 [wei de shou ji zhe]), they will also receive predictions later. All of them, in the future, even in asamkhyeya kalpas (阿僧祇劫 [a seng qi jie]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-lands (佛土微塵數 [fu tu wei chen shu]), in countless other worlds (餘世界中 [yu shi jie zhong]) as numerous as dust particles in Buddha-fields (佛土微塵數 [fu tu wei chen shu]) in the ten directions, will attain Buddhahood (成佛 [cheng fu]) and turn the Dharma-wheel (轉正法輪 [zhuan zheng fa lun]), and will be praised and extolled. Because of these three matters, good man! You are truly excellent."'

At that time, those two Bodhisattvas (彼二菩薩 [bi er pu sa]), Zì Zhí Jìng Jiè Wú Nù (自執境界無怒 [zi zhi jing jie wu nu]) and Yuè Chí Wú Nù (悅持無怒 [yue chi wu nu]), received the undefiled flower (無垢華 [wu gou hua]) of moonlight joy (月樂 [yue le]) from that Tathāgata Huā Fū Zhào Míng (華敷照明如來 [hua fu zhao ming ru lai]), and together with many kotis (多億 [duo yi]) of Bodhisattvas (菩薩 [pu sa]), they departed from that Buddha-land of Děng Huá (等華佛土 [deng hua fu tu]), suddenly disappearing, and in a single thought (一念之頃 [yi nian zhi qing]), arrived at the Jambūlavaṇa (閻婆羅園 [yan po luo yuan]) in this Buddha-field of Nàitílán (耐提蘭佛剎 [nai ti lan fu sha]), and went to Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]).

[0274b18] "At that time, the entire Buddha-land of Nàitílán (耐提蘭佛土 [nai ti lan fu tu]) was filled with such Mahāyāna Bodhisattvas (大乘菩薩 [da cheng pu sa]), and good men (善男子 [shan nan zi]) seeking the Pratyekabuddha-vehicle (辟支佛乘 [pi zhi fu cheng]) and the Śrāvakayāna (聲聞乘 [sheng wen cheng]), as well as Devas (天 [tian]) down to Mahoragas (摩睺勒 [mo hou lei]), just as sugarcane (甘蔗 [gan zhe]), bamboo (竹葦 [zhu wei]), rice (稻麻 [dao ma]), and thickets (叢林 [cong lin]) are fully mature and abundant. At that time, this Buddha-land of Nàitílán (耐提蘭佛土 [nai ti lan fu tu]) was filled with good men (善男子 [shan nan zi]) of the Mahāyāna (大乘 [da cheng]), down to Mahoragas (摩睺勒 [mo hou lei]). Those Bodhisattvas (彼諸菩薩 [bi zhu pu sa]) prostrated their heads to Tathāgata Bǎozàng's (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]) feet and made offerings with various Bodhisattva-divine-powers (菩薩神通 [pu sa shen tong]) of vows and strengths (誓力 [shi li]). Those Bodhisattvas (彼諸菩薩 [bi zhu pu sa]) also saw the Brāhmaṇa (婆羅門 [po luo men]) before Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]), and also saw the entire great assembly (一切大眾 [yi qie da zhong]) standing with clasped hands, praising and extolling him. Those Bodhisattvas (彼諸菩薩 [bi zhu pu sa]) had this thought: 'This is that great compassionate Mahāsattva (彼大悲摩訶薩 [bi da bei mo he sa]) to whom Tathāgata Huā Fū Zhào Míng (華敷照明如來 [hua fu zhao ming ru lai]) gave this undefiled flower (無垢華 [wu gou hua]) of moonlight joy (月樂 [yue le]).' Those Bodhisattvas (彼諸菩薩 [bi zhu pu sa]) from Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]) turned towards the Brāhmaṇa (婆羅門 [po luo men]), gave him the undefiled flower (無垢華 [wu gou hua]) of wish-joy (願樂 [yuan le]), and said: 'Good man! Tathāgata Huā Fū Zhào Míng (華敷照明如來 [hua fu zhao ming ru lai]) sends you this undefiled flower (無垢華 [wu gou hua]) of wish-moonlight joy (願月樂 [yuan yue le]) as a token of trust. Good man! He says "excellent" to you, and so on, as was said before, with the three reasons for "excellent."'

Furthermore, in those empty Buddha-lands (空佛土中 [kong fu tu zhong]), there were great divine powers (大神通 [da shen tong]) and majesties (威德 [wei de]), and Bodhisattvas (諸菩薩 [zhu pu sa]) who had attained mastery (自在 [zi zai]) in the profound Dharma (深法 [shen fa]), who were there according to their original vows (本願 [ben yuan]) to save sentient beings (度眾生 [du zhong sheng]). Having heard these sounds (是聲 [shi sheng]), they relied on the Buddha's (佛 [fu]) majestic power (威神 [wei shen]) and their original vows (本願 [ben yuan]) as their vowed strength (誓力 [shi li]), manifesting divine powers (神通 [shen tong]) there. Swiftly, like a strong man extending his arm (壯士伸臂之頃 [zhuang shi shen bi zhi qing]), those Bodhisattvas (彼諸菩薩 [bi zhu pu sa]) departed from the empty Buddha-fields (空佛剎 [kong fu sha]) and arrived at this Buddha-land of Nàitílán (耐提蘭佛土 [nai ti lan fu tu]). Those Bodhisattvas (彼諸菩薩 [bi zhu pu sa]) made offerings to Tathāgata Bǎozàng (寶藏如來 [bao cang ru lai]) with various Bodhisattva-divine-powers (菩薩神通 [pu sa shen tong]), and also made offerings to that great assembly (彼諸大眾 [bi zhu da zhong]). Then, each sat in their respective places and listened to the Dharma (聽法 [ting fa]).
