At one time, the Buddha (佛 [fu]) was in the Jetavana Monastery, Anathapindika's Park, in Sravasti (舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園 [she wei guo qi shu gei gu du yuan]).

[0825c23] At that time, the World-Honored One (世尊 [shi zun]) said to the Bhikkhus (諸比丘 [zhu bi qiu]): "Listening to the Dharma (聞法 [wen fa]) at the right time has five virtues (五功德 [wu gong de]), and one never misses the right time. What are the five? One hears Dharma (法 [fa]) that one has never heard before, one remembers what one has heard, one removes doubts (狐疑 [hu yi]), one has no wrong views (邪見 [xie jian]), and one understands the very profound Dharma (甚深之法 [shen shen zhi fa]). This, Bhikkhus (比丘 [bi qiu])! is what is meant by listening to the Dharma (聞法 [wen fa]) at the right time and having these five virtues (五功德 [wu gong de]). Therefore, Bhikkhus (比丘 [bi qiu])! You should always listen to the very profound Dharma (甚深之法 [shen shen zhi fa]). This is my instruction. Thus, Bhikkhus (比丘 [bi qiu])! You should train yourselves in this way."
