[0561a17] Thus have I heard:
At one time, the Buddha was in the Jetavana-Anāthapiṇḍada-ārāma (祇樹給孤獨園 [qi shu gei gu du yuan]) in Śrāvastī (舍衛國 [she wei guo]).
[0561a17] wén rú shì:
yī shí, fú zài shě wèi guó qí shù gěi gū dú yuán.
[0561a17] wen ru shi:

[0561a18] At that time, the World-Honored One told the bhikkhus (比丘 [bi qiu]), "If there is one person who appears in the world, then one person enters the Dharma (道 [dao]) in the world, and there are also two truths, three gates of liberation, the true Dharma (真法 [zhen fa]) of the four noble truths, five faculties, the cessation of six wrong views, seven factors of awakening, the eight noble paths, nine abodes of sentient beings, the ten powers of the Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]), and eleven liberations of loving-kindness, all appear in the world. Who is this one person? It is the Tathāgata (多薩阿竭 [duo sa a jie]), the Arhat (阿羅呵 [a luo he]), the Samyaksaṃbuddha (三耶三佛 [san ye san fu]). This is the one person who appears in the world, and then one person enters the Dharma (道 [dao]) in the world, and there are also two truths, three gates of liberation, the true Dharma (真法 [zhen fa]) of the four noble truths, five faculties, the cessation of six wrong views, seven factors of awakening, the eight noble paths, nine abodes of sentient beings, the ten powers of the Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]), and eleven liberations of loving-kindness, all appear in the world. Therefore, bhikkhus (諸比丘 [zhu bi qiu])! You should always generate reverence towards the Tathāgata (如來 [ru lai]), and you should also learn this."
