This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 112.13

एकस्य चरतो राज किं मे राष्ट्रं करिष्यति ।
प्रथमं खु भद्रम् अधनस्य अनागारस्य भिक्षुणो ॥ १३ ॥

ekasya carato rāja kiṃ me rāṣṭraṃ kariṣyati |
prathamaṃ khu bhadram adhanasya anāgārasya bhikṣuṇo || 13 ||

O king what is a kingdom to a man who fares all alone? This is the first blessing of the poor, homeless monk. (13)
