This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 111.18

प्रियं मे कीर्तये राज्ये प्रियं मे कीर्तये प्रिय ।
प्रियस्य बुद्धस्य लोक-अर्थचरस्य ब्राह्मण ॥ १८ ॥

priyaṃ me kīrtaye rājye priyaṃ me kīrtaye priya |
priyasya buddhasya loka-arthacarasya brāhmaṇa || 18 ||

Dear brahman, you have praised him who is dear to me. You have praised him who is dear to my kingdom, the dear Buddha who lives for the good of the world. (18)
