This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 109.6

सो नागो यस्यार्थं महर्षिभवनं आसीद् दुःप्रवेशो ।
सो दान्तो निर्विषश् च कृतो यं बुद्धानुभावेन ॥ ६ ॥

so nāgo yasyārthaṃ maharṣibhavanaṃ āsīd duḥpraveśo |
so dānto nirviṣaś ca kṛto yaṃ buddhānubhāvena || 6 ||

That Naga, because of whom the great seer’s dwelling could not be entered, had been tamed and rendered harmless by the power of the Buddha. (6)
