This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 109.4

एषो स्य पश्य काश्यप पर्यादिन्नो स्वतेजसा तेजो ।
यस्य भवनं न शक्यं प्रवेष्टुम् इह केनचिल् लोके ॥ ४ ॥

eṣo sya paśya kāśyapa paryādinno svatejasā tejo |
yasya bhavanaṃ na śakyaṃ praveṣṭum iha kenacil loke || 4 ||

“See, O Kashyapa,” said he, “how the fire of him whose dwelling no one in the world might enter has been overcome by my fire.” (4)
