This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 102.16

दिष्ट्या ते सहंपति याचेसि दिष्ट्या चास्य प्रतिशृणोषि वीर ।
दिष्ट्या धर्मेण धर्मचक्रं दिष्ट्या प्रवर्तये द्वादशांगुपेतं ॥ १६ ॥

diṣṭyā te sahaṃpati yācesi diṣṭyā cāsya pratiśṛṇoṣi vīra |
diṣṭyā dharmeṇa dharmacakraṃ diṣṭyā pravartaye dvādaśāṃgupetaṃ || 16 ||

All hail! Sahampati entreated thee. All hail! Thou didst assent, O Hero. All hail! Thou didst set rolling in righteousness the wheel of dharma with its twelve parts. (16)
