This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 102.7

यं पि च जातस्य मुने छत्रं धारयेन्सु गुह्यकाधिपती ।
उभयतो च वीजनीयो दशशतरस्मिसगोत्र तं प्रियं मे ॥ ७ ॥

yaṃ pi ca jātasya mune chatraṃ dhārayensu guhyakādhipatī |
ubhayato ca vījanīyo daśaśatarasmisagotra taṃ priyaṃ me || 7 ||

Glad am I, O kinsman of the sun, that when thou wast born, O Sage, Guhyaka lords held up a sunshade and fans on both sides of thee. (7)
