This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 99.8

तस्याप्य् अहं न कुप्यामि प्राग् एव इतरा प्रजाः ।
राजा स्वयंकृतकर्मस्य विपाकम् अनुभविष्यति ॥ ८ ॥

tasyāpy ahaṃ na kupyāmi prāg eva itarā prajāḥ |
rājā svayaṃkṛtakarmasya vipākam anubhaviṣyati || 8 ||

...will I be wroth, much less with other men. But the king will have to reap the fruit of the deed he has done. (8)
