This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

प्रान्तारण्य मृहयूथपर्यटिता पर्वतानि + + + ।
तत्र मम निधनसमये शरीरनिक्षेपणो भवेया ॥ ४ ॥

prāntāraṇya mṛhayūthaparyaṭitā parvatāni + + + |
tatra mama nidhanasamaye śarīranikṣepaṇo bhaveyā || 4 ||

In the lonely forest and on the mountains haunted by herds of deer, there, when my time is come, may I lay aside my body. (4)
