This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 91.27

ततो च वाणिजका सर्वां राक्षसीयो भयानिका ।
आयसे नगरे घोरे प्रतितिष्ठे तद् अनन्तरं ॥ २७ ॥

tato ca vāṇijakā sarvāṃ rākṣasīyo bhayānikā |
āyase nagare ghore pratitiṣṭhe tad anantaraṃ || 27 ||

Then the terrible ogresses quickly threw all the traders into their grim stronghold of iron. (27)
