This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 90.53

भद्रकक्षान्तिसौरभ्यसंपन्ना अदीनमानसा ।
अर्थिका बुद्धज्ञानेन तेषां तुष्टिर् भविष्यति ॥ ५३ ॥

bhadrakakṣāntisaurabhyasaṃpannā adīnamānasā |
arthikā buddhajñānena teṣāṃ tuṣṭir bhaviṣyati || 53 ||

There will be joy for those who are endowed with good forbearance and a gentle disposition, who are high-minded and desirous for knowledge of the Buddha. (53)
