This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 90.39

एकपुत्रस्मिं यं प्रेम्नं शुश्रूषा च प्रतिष्ठिता ।
मातापितॄणां इष्टस्मिं एवं आसीत् तद् अनन्तरं ॥ ३९ ॥

ekaputrasmiṃ yaṃ premnaṃ śuśrūṣā ca pratiṣṭhitā |
mātāpitṝṇāṃ iṣṭasmiṃ evaṃ āsīt tad anantaraṃ || 39 ||

The love of an only son and the constant obedience of one beloved by his parents were there. (39)
