This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 87.91

तिष्यं चाहं लोकनाथं संमुखा हं अभिस्तवे ।
प्रत्युत्पन्नप्रयोगेन बोधिं प्रार्थेन्तो नुत्तरां ॥ ९१ ॥

tiṣyaṃ cāhaṃ lokanāthaṃ saṃmukhā haṃ abhistave |
pratyutpannaprayogena bodhiṃ prārthento nuttarāṃ || 91 ||

“Whilst I was questing after the supreme enlightenment with ever-present endeavour, I praised Tishya, Saviour of the world, in his presence. (91)
