This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 87.79

शुद्धोदनस्य राज्ञो इक्ष्वाकुजस्य पुत्रो मायाय ।
शाक्यकुलनन्दिजननो शाक्यो भूत् शाक्यसुकुमारो ॥ ७९ ॥

śuddhodanasya rājño ikṣvākujasya putro māyāya |
śākyakulanandijanano śākyo bhūt śākyasukumāro || 79 ||

“The son of King Shuddhodana of Ikshvakus line by Maya, he who brings joy to the Shakyans, was a Shakyan gently brought up. (79)
