This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 76.7

वनानि फुल्लानि मनोरमाणि समन्ततो सर्वदिशा प्रवान्ति ।
पुष्पं त्यजित्वा फलम् आदियन्ते समयो इतो प्रक्रमितुं ते शास्तु ॥ ७ ॥

vanāni phullāni manoramāṇi samantato sarvadiśā pravānti |
puṣpaṃ tyajitvā phalam ādiyante samayo ito prakramituṃ te śāstu || 7 ||

The delightful groves are all in bloom and breathe sweet odours all around. Shedding their flowers the trees clothe themselves with fruit. It is time, O Master, to go hence. (7)
