This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 75.93

सो च तत्र विचिन्तेति कथं बोधेय वाणिजां ।
एतम् अर्थं यथाभूतं न च जानेन्सु धूर्तका ॥ ९३ ॥

so ca tatra vicinteti kathaṃ bodheya vāṇijāṃ |
etam arthaṃ yathābhūtaṃ na ca jānensu dhūrtakā || 93 ||

There he began to ponder as to how he could tell the merchants the true position of affairs without the crafty women knowing. (93)
