This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 75.60

धमनिसन्ततगात्रा वातातपदग्धत्वचमान्सानां ।
पूतिकखण्डवसनानां तृष्णार्त्ता मलिनकेशानां ॥ ६० ॥

dhamanisantatagātrā vātātapadagdhatvacamānsānāṃ |
pūtikakhaṇḍavasanānāṃ tṛṣṇārttā malinakeśānāṃ || 60 ||

Their bodies were emaciated, their skin and flesh shrivelled by the wind and heat. Their clothes were rotting rags; they were tortured by thirst and their hair was unkempt. (60)
