This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 68.3

मयापि समनुबद्धो दश वर्षाणि पंच च ।
शिथिला व सुबद्धा च नास्ति सानं पततां भयं ॥ ३ ॥

mayāpi samanubaddho daśa varṣāṇi paṃca ca |
śithilā va subaddhā ca nāsti sānaṃ patatāṃ bhayaṃ || 3 ||

“I, too, have pursued him for fifteen years. Inert though his organs are they are well-set. There is no fear of their falling off.” (3)
