This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 67.147

षष्टि अश्वसहस्राणि आजानेया हयोत्तमाः ।
सुवर्णमेखलाधरा खलीनरतनामया ॥ १४७ ॥

ṣaṣṭi aśvasahasrāṇi ājāneyā hayottamāḥ |
suvarṇamekhalādharā khalīnaratanāmayā || 147 ||

“He has sixty thousand horses, the best of thoroughbred steeds, with girths of gold and bejewelled bits, (147)
