This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 67.45

सचेत् सुमनसा + + + अलिन्दा रमयासि मे ।
उत्पद्ये याचितो पुत्रो सुजातो राष्ट्रवर्धनो ॥ ४५ ॥

sacet sumanasā + + + alindā ramayāsi me |
utpadye yācito putro sujāto rāṣṭravardhano || 45 ||

“If you, Alinda, had been well-disposed to me and had gratified me, the son you ask for would prove to be well-born, a joy to the realm. (45)
