This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 67.33

ते वयं धर्मधरा स्म सर्वजीवेहि ब्राह्मण ।
गच्छासि मा मे गर्हन्तो मह्यं करोहि भण्डनं ॥ ३३ ॥

te vayaṃ dharmadharā sma sarvajīvehi brāhmaṇa |
gacchāsi mā me garhanto mahyaṃ karohi bhaṇḍanaṃ || 33 ||

“We here, O brahman, are just towards all living beings. Do not then go on reproaching and upraiding me. (33)
