This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 65.52

वैहायसे तिष्ठसि अन्तरीक्षे वेगप्रमत्तो मृगमण्डलीव ।
नमस्यन्तो प्रांजलि वन्दमानो तं वन्दनीयं इह त्वं नमस्यसि ॥ ५२ ॥

vaihāyase tiṣṭhasi antarīkṣe vegapramatto mṛgamaṇḍalīva |
namasyanto prāṃjali vandamāno taṃ vandanīyaṃ iha tvaṃ namasyasi || 52 ||

“Thou standest in the aery sky, eager and alert like the king of beasts, with thy hands joined in adoration and veneration. Thou dost here venerate him who is worthy to be adored.” (52)
