This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 65.47

तं च कालम् अवचि द्विपदेन्द्रो प्रीतिहर्षपरिवृंहितकायो ।
अद्य काल वचनं तव सत्यं अद्य स्पृशिष्य अनुत्तरबोधिं ॥ ४७ ॥

taṃ ca kālam avaci dvipadendro prītiharṣaparivṛṃhitakāyo |
adya kāla vacanaṃ tava satyaṃ adya spṛśiṣya anuttarabodhiṃ || 47 ||

The Lord of bipeds, his body braced with joy and gladness, spoke to Kala and said, “To-day, O Kala, thy word proves true. To-day I shall attain the supreme enlightenment. (47)
