This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.596

यो जालकानि उपनये चेतियेषु लोकप्रदीपे महापुण्यक्षेत्रे ।
सो मारजालं विधापिय अप्रमत्तो भोति नरेन्द्रो दशबलो निष्किलेशो ॥ ५९६ ॥

yo jālakāni upanaye cetiyeṣu lokapradīpe mahāpuṇyakṣetre |
so mārajālaṃ vidhāpiya apramatto bhoti narendro daśabalo niṣkileśo || 596 ||

He who brings network coverings to the shrines of the Light of the world who is a great field of merit, in his alertness escapes the net of Mara and becomes a king of men, a Dashabala, free of the lusts. (596)
