This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.586

मणिहारं दत्त्वा जिनचेतियेषु उदग्रचित्तो प्रमुदितो वेगजातो ।
सो भोति राजा सह लक्षणेहि महानुभावो गुरुकृतो चक्रवर्ती ॥ ५८६ ॥

maṇihāraṃ dattvā jinacetiyeṣu udagracitto pramudito vegajāto |
so bhoti rājā saha lakṣaṇehi mahānubhāvo gurukṛto cakravartī || 586 ||

He who, exultant, joyful and eager, has placed a necklace of gems on the shrines of the Conqueror, becomes a king, with the marks of excellence, a powerful, honoured universal ruler. (586)
