This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.545

तस्यापि भोति शुभ आत्मभावो द्वात्रिंशतीहि स्फुट लक्षणेहि ।
येहि स्य नित्यं प्रतपति आत्मभावः यूपो विशिष्टो यथ कांचनस्य ।
जाम्बूनदस्य यथ दर्शनीयो असंप्रकीर्णो स्फुटो व्यंजनेहि ॥ ५४५ ॥

tasyāpi bhoti śubha ātmabhāvo dvātriṃśatīhi sphuṭa lakṣaṇehi |
yehi sya nityaṃ pratapati ātmabhāvaḥ yūpo viśiṣṭo yatha kāṃcanasya |
jāmbūnadasya yatha darśanīyo asaṃprakīrṇo sphuṭo vyaṃjanehi || 545 ||

Bright does the person of him become and covered with the thirty-two marks of excellence. His body always sparkles with these as a magnificent pillar of gold. His body is also covered with the lesser characteristics and is lovely as a body of Jambunada gold. (545)
