This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.458

देवागारम् उपादाय ये कल्पस्थायिजीविनो ।
ये अत्रान्तरेण वृक्षा ये च भूमि अनागता ॥ ४५८ ॥

devāgāram upādāya ye kalpasthāyijīvino |
ye atrāntareṇa vṛkṣā ye ca bhūmi anāgatā || 458 ||

It would be easier for a learned man to count the trees, beginning with those growing for a kalpa in the home of the devas, then those which are here on earth in the meantime and those in the future,... (458)
