This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.415

अग्निविषेण शस्त्रेण न जातु कालं करोति च ।
कालं करोति पूर्णेन आयुःक्षीणेन पण्डितो ॥ ४१५ ॥

agniviṣeṇa śastreṇa na jātu kālaṃ karoti ca |
kālaṃ karoti pūrṇena āyuḥkṣīṇena paṇḍito || 415 ||

Verily he does not perish by fire or by poison or by weapon, but dies, a wise man, at the end of his full term of life. (415)
