This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.367

शीलस्कन्धेन गुप्तेन भिक्षु भोति विशारदो ।
न तस्य हन्यते चक्षुं पश्यित्वा जिनश्रावकां ॥ ३६७ ॥

śīlaskandhena guptena bhikṣu bhoti viśārado |
na tasya hanyate cakṣuṃ paśyitvā jinaśrāvakāṃ || 367 ||

With his morality guarded the monk becomes confident; nor is he blinded when he has seen the disciples of the Conqueror. (367)
