This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.337

मरुं च द्विपदश्रेष्ठं संबुद्धं वदतां वरं ।
ये दृष्ट्वा सत्करिष्यन्ति तेषां हर्षो भविष्यति ॥ ३३७ ॥

maruṃ ca dvipadaśreṣṭhaṃ saṃbuddhaṃ vadatāṃ varaṃ |
ye dṛṣṭvā satkariṣyanti teṣāṃ harṣo bhaviṣyati || 337 ||

There will be rapture for those who, when they see Maru, perfect Buddha, Best of bipeds, choicest of speakers, will revere him. (337)
