This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.275

देवकोटीसहस्राणि गगणस्मिं समागता ।
पुष्पवर्षं प्रवर्षेन्सु सप्तरात्रम् अनूनकं ॥ २७५ ॥

devakoṭīsahasrāṇi gagaṇasmiṃ samāgatā |
puṣpavarṣaṃ pravarṣensu saptarātram anūnakaṃ || 275 ||

Thousands of kotis of devas assembled in the sky, and for a full seven-nights poured down a shower of blossoms. (275)
