This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 64.231

दाने च शीले च क्षान्तिये च वीर्ये ध्याने बहुकल्पकोट्यो ।
प्रज्ञाये श्रेष्ठाय भवे अप्रमेये न मह्यम् अस्ति समो सर्वलोके ॥ २३१ ॥

dāne ca śīle ca kṣāntiye ca vīrye dhyāne bahukalpakoṭyo |
prajñāye śreṣṭhāya bhave aprameye na mahyam asti samo sarvaloke || 231 ||

“In charity, in morality, in forbearance, in energy, in meditation, in the highest wisdom, and in infinite becoming for many kotis of kalpas, there is none equal to me in all the world. (231)
